Have been a visitor to the Virgin River for nearly 30 years. Hadn't been there for four years so decided to get away. The first problem we encountered were the long line for check in. The line wrapped through the casino. It took over an hour to get to the front of the line. 2 agents checking people in. We got to our rooms and they were just what we expected. No frills no extras. Just an inexpensive place to stay.
Dinner time came around and again, LONG lines at both the Cafe and Buffet. We finally decided on the buffet and waited until about 30 minutes before closing. It was still a 30

My room had a bed, tv and shower, accepted pets and was 60 dollars a night. If are a very budget minded traveler and you have a pet and stay here. If I did not have a pet this property would not be my first choice. The governor has punished residents and travelers alike with a mask mandate, I would have stayed 30 minutes away in Utah or AZ if I had known...

This spot isn't it for me. We stayed here on our drive to Vegas and I'm glad it was only for one night. Cheap rooms, cheap beds, everything smelled like cigarettes' even in the "none smoking rooms". The Casino is dingy, hard to find tables and drinks took forever. The lighting was harsh and the vibes just felt off. They do have Starbucks on sight so that was their saving grace in the morning. Won't be staying here again, I'll stick to Eureka and Casablanca.

Pizzas are all pre-made so no altering the topping. Taste was better than my visit two years ago but both the deep dish and flat crust were doughy. The would benefit from another minute of cooking. Had the spinach and feta deep dish but not much feta and has a 7" cheese which could have been cruncher. The 4th star in this rating was for the order taker. I ordered, three pizzas, popcorn, two different scoops of ice cream and a dounet and she was taking other orders and did not miss a beat. Hardest working person in the place. Thanks.

So upset about our stay. We paid for a room heading in from a snow storm in Utah to get to our dad having heat failure on the way to Vegas. We live in a converted activity bus but again PAID for a room make it easy and convenient for us while we dealt with our emergent situation. We also ate at the horrible cafe and the buffet in our 15 total hours on their property. When I checked in I told the clerk we had a bus and a car and on the map, we recorded the plates and make and models of both in her system, and she showed me where the oversized vehicle parking was on the map behind building 3. Before today I would have adorned this place with 5 stars but NO longer! I had already stayed one night and I was checking in to stay a second night: I had my two dogs with me as well..one small mixed lab and a tiny minpin. Everyone in line was commenting how cute they were and sweet. As I approached the desk one of the desk clerks Kendall said to me "You're going to have to take your dogs out of the casino if they're going to be a disturbance." I was taken aback as one of my dogs barked maybe twice???!!! I replied with that information and she kept on telling me that the

Even though this was a favorite of ours, we stopped coming to this casino because they cut our already small comps to almost nothing. This is a very old casino with very old games but we loved staying here and gambling because of the buffet, small town atmosphere, and the various promotions. We lost here over the years but felt it was a vacation. It is out of our way to drive 1 1/2 hours after our flight arrives in Vegas but we enjoyed this quaint little place. We haven't been there for almost a year because they cut comps. I guess they don't want other than Locals money.

I love staying at virgin river its always super fun and the staff inside the casino are always incredibly friendly. This time we stayed in the pet friendly room and the only downfall was seeing the bottom part of the bed clearly hasn't been cleaned in months. But overall wasn't a bad trip this time but for my next I won't be staying in the pet friendly side.

The Starbucks prople are just as bad! A guy came in and asked for a cup of water. He thought it was free to bicyclists. The large round woman manager was very rude. She informed him that he has to pay for water because this Starbucks is inside of a casino. The manager charged him and I witnessed as she put his money in her pocket instead of into the cash register. Her coworker who was brewing a drink, turned her head and watched the manager steal.

While I understand the pandemic has affected many, many businesses, the care, or lack thereof, of this place is surprising. I originally was going to use this place as an overnight stop while returning home, but, instead, I used this place to catch up on a few hours of sleep before returning home. Coming in, this place immediately struck me as a set for a murder-horror film, and while another reviewer called this a "glorified Motel 6", this place is more of a "deglamorized Motel 0". I will not be returning to this place unless I become a film prop for a dead body.

Sunday-Thurs rates make this hotel worth staying with the dog.
Originally rooms had refrigerators but mine did not in this last visit.
Nothing special-- Smoky check-in in the casino lobby and a clean standard hotel room. A plus is the volume of the fan/ac in the rooms, as it helps mask noise for me and for the dog.

First of all, you have to know what you're getting in to. If you come to the Virgin River Hotel expecting a five star hotel experience, you may be disappointed. This is a budget property catering to those of us that need a clean, safe place to stay and are conscious about the cost.
The facility is broken up into several buildings. The main building houses the casino, registration and a few restaurants. The motel rooms are located in separate buildings around the property. There's plenty of parking outside each one. Being more of a motel, the rooms are entered from outside.

Virgin River Hotel Casino is one of three Hotels in the heart of Mesquite NV. This Hotel is the largest of the three, with multiple buildings and pools. Virgin River is pet friendly and has designated buildings for guests with pets. This Hotel has a Bingo Hall, Buffet, Coffee Shop, bowling alley, Starbucks ,Keno and Arcade. Virgin River made multiple renovations during the temporary COVID state closure. They paved and painted the parking lot, took out the entertainment lounge and turned the space into a high limit slot area . They also added a bar and removed the gift shop. The casino is bright

If I can give this hotel zero stars I would.
Upon entering our room, we found several items dirty.
I had a antibacterial wipes and wiped down everything. What amazed me was that I found toilet paper behind the toilet and a used bandaid near the sink. Seriously, during these times where we are forced to wears masks and constantly using hand sanitizer, there was a used bandaid. This is a clear indication to retrain the cleaning.
Also, everyone working at their buffet restaurant was absolutely miserable. Atleast they all looked and acted like they hate their jobs. Shout out to jj and a young kid
