We offer all medical and surgical services ranging from routine vaccinations and spays and neuters to bloodwork, ultrasounds, radiographs, exploratory surgery, chemotherapy, MRI and CT scans.

At Jackson Animal Hospital, we specialize in all dental care, from routine cleanings to full mouth extractions, as we believe in the importance of dental health for your pet. Clean and disease free teeth will allow your pet to live a longer and healthier life. Water therapy is an important tool to help animals rehabilitate from orthopedic injuries.
Services
Jackson Animal Hospital is fortunate to have one of the best orthopedic surgeons in the west available for any of your pet's orthopedic needs- whether your pet has sustained an injury from trauma, has a degenerative orthopedic issue such as hip or elbow dysplasia, or is suffering from joint instability and chronic pain.
The Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) in humans is known as the Cranial Cruciate Ligament (CCL) in dogs. In both the human and canine model, this ligament may tear. Most owners do not know exactly how the tearing occurs in their pet, but they notice lameness. Often, the ligament tear will need to be repaired in dogs who lead an active life.
For Total Hip Replacement (THR) in dogs, two types of surgical systems are utilized - cemented and cementless. In the cemented technique, bone cement is relied on to provide fixation of the prothesis to the femur bone. In the cementless system, KYON (Greek for dog), fixation is achieved by bone in-growth.
At Jackson Animal Hospital, we are pleased to offer a full range of internal medicine services helping to aide in the diagnosis of your pet's condition. We have state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment including electrocardiogram (ECG), pulse oximetry, blood pressure (Cardell and Doppler) monitoring, digital radiology, ultrasound and off site MRI and CT scanning.
Jackson Animal Hospital provides the highest standard of dental care for dogs and cats- and offers everything from dental cleanings and x-rays to full mouth extractions. You might find it surprising that your companion pet suffers from the same oral health problems that we do. Bad breath, discolored teeth and swollen or bleeding gums are indications that your pet's teeth need to be examined.

We’ve lived in a lot of places with our dog and this is the best vet we’ve been to by far. All of the vets, techs, and staff are kind and professional, and the vets go above and beyond to communicate the different treatment options and costs. Thanks for always taking such good care of our pup!!

Traveling from Florida w/ my 2 dogs. My black German Shepard developed gastrointestinal symptoms and needed to be examined and treated right away. The local vet where I was staying in Moran,WY was closed. The nearest veterinarian was 85 miles away in Jackson. After speaking w/ the office staff, they said to bring her in and Dr. Carleton would see her. An hour and 45 minutes later we arrived at Jackson Animal Hospital and Carter, my Shepard was examined and treatment administered. I'm so grateful of Dr. Carleton and her office staff for seeing us. Knowing my dog's condition is being treated and

I’m extremely particular with my choice in docs for our pets. However, in this instance, I didn’t have time to read reviews, talk with locals, and choose. Within 2 hours of moving to Jackson (and at 10pm), one of our dogs fell ill. We had no choice but to call whoever was open. Within 20 minutes of onset he was in surgery. Upon admittance Dr. Eva Denka was quick, decisive, and clear on diagnosis, surgery range of cost and outcomes. They literally had minutes to save him. The surgery went great and when I picked our pup up - I knew I had found our new vet; from the techs to the docs, everyone

I highly recommend Jackson Animal Hospital. After seeing many vets due to living in different places and having a dog with challenging health problems, Dr. Carleton is the best vet I've been to. Three years ago I came to Jackson Animal Hospital at a loss for how to help my dog live a good quality life. Dr. Carleton tried everything she could to make his life comfortable including helping me to make the decision to end his suffering this year. He also broke his leg (two metatarsal bones) and she immediately took him in diagnosed him and set his leg with the consult of veterinarian orthopedic surgeon

We were traveling when our 1 yo doodle became ill. We were able to get him in on a Saturday and by that afternoon he was recovering from surgery...having removed 2 good-sized rocks from his digestive system. His care and follow-up by Dr Joe and the staff have been outstanding and our dog is making a speedy recovery.

I wish I could do much more than just give 5 stars. I've had a huge emergency which lead me to rush to Salt Lake. Everyone called to check up on both chloe and myself. Definitely felt the love and care throughout this difficult last couple days.
