Services
In 2017 the program was expanded to a 27-month program leading to a Master of Science in Dentistry and a Certificate in Orthodontics. The clinic is in the new, state-of-the-art Lazzara Health Sciences Center and looks and operates like a private practice in many ways. However, since this is a teaching facility, you will be treated by orthodontic residents working with experienced orthodontic faculty.
Getting braces and undergoing orthodontic therapy is a big commitment of time and money, and selecting the right orthodontic facility can be overwhelming. The Jacksonville University School of Orthodontics makes your choice easy by offering cutting-edge technology and popular products alongside cost savings that are just as impressive.

Using computerized patient profiles, digital X-ray technology and our new Cone Beam CAT SCAN Unit, we can expertly plan and monitor treatment plans.
You will be told what the problem appears to be, what tests are needed to properly diagnose the problem and formulate a treatment plan, and when is the best time to begin therapy. Once orthodontic therapy is recommended, we'll also explain the particular reasons necessitating that therapy. Facilitating other dental work (to properly position teeth for future capping, bridges, or implants).
We'll start by examining your mouth, teeth, and jaw. We'll also collect diagnostic records to help us make an accurate diagnosis and suggest an appropriate course of treatment. X-rays of the teeth to determine how sound they are and whether the bony support for them is adequate. A film of the skull to see the relationship of the teeth to the jaws and the jaws to one another.

The doctors and facilities are amazing. The brand new building is amazing and aesthetically pleasing. HOWEVER, the blonde lady at the front desk has the WORST customer service I have ever seen. She is so rude to patients who are just trying to get checked in while already stressed about the rest of their day. It absolutely baffles me how someone who deals with people as a living has such a off putting and crude personality. I’m thinking about switching orthodontists because of this. If she can be fired this review would easily be a five star. Fix your manners or get a new job lady this is not

I had a great experience with JU Orthodontics both for myself and my teenage son. They facilities are brand new, and the staff is professional and kind. My resident, Dr. Alqarni, was the best! She worked with me on all of my appointments, and she always answered my texts when I had a problem with our braces. I felt like she actually cared about my teeth, and I always felt comfortable and safe while she was working on me. My supervising orthodontist, Dr. Vezina, was also fantastic. Oor son had braces put on March 2020 by Dr Nairooz and Dr Vezina he had a wonderful experience with both. He just got his braces off this past Friday and his teeth look amazing. We highly recommend JU school of orthodontics everyone is so pleasant to deal with and you honestly cannot beat the cost compared to private orthodontists. It’s worth the drive!!

I had a great experience at JU orthodontist. I was told that my case would need surgery, Not only did I not get surgery but my teeth looks brand new. As me and my doctors discuss how much I didn’t want surgery. I was told about a technique called Meow. It only took 2 years and I’m extremely happy with my results.
I recommend all who are in need of braces to go there.
