Services
Elko Veterinary Clinic is an aggressive mixed animal practice specializing in both small and large animal medicine and surgery. The facility is completely computerized with digital radiography, endoscopy, ultrasound, ECG, large and small dentistry a complete In-house laboratory, and companion Laser Therapy.
Laser therapy has been around since the 1970s but has only recently been certified for use in veterinary care. Nevertheless, it has been shown to be a highly effective treatment used to accelerate your pet's natural healing process and provide significant relief from pain and other associated issues.
Healthy eyes aren't just important for us humans. Your pet is equally as reliant on having healthy eyes and clear vision to enjoy a full, active and happy life. For this reason, it is strongly recommended that your precious furbaby undergoes at least an annual eye exam. This is a comprehensive, non-invasive assessment that is completely painless for your pet.
Much like detecting health problems in humans, it is rarely easy to identify a problem with your pet just by looking at her. In fact, it can be very difficult to tell that your pet is ill at all since animals have a natural tendency to try and mask signs of injury or sickness so that they don't appear weak and vulnerable.

Unfortunately they up charge all services. You won't get out of there without paying at least one to two hundred minimum. They always overbook themselves so be prepared to wait an extra hour or even longer and are never on time. They have treated my dog multiple times for the same issue however has not helped and charge $60 a visit regardless of follow up. All you have to do is look at their responses to other negative reviews to see they are defensive. They do not accept constructive feedback and do not plan to change anything about their practice to improve what others have suggested. I recommend

Our super special boy, Louie, was bit by a rattle snake while out scouting for deer. Originally, there was no answer when I called the emergency line but they did contact me back in a short amount of time. I feel like Louie received great care during his stay and Dr. White (we think that was his name) was super caring and clear with expectations on next steps for us. Dee was our favorite though, she was so compassionate and even helped our little kiddo find comfort in a scary situation. He has to come back for laser treatment and if I have one complaint about EVC, it would be the wait time for

Elko Veterinary Clinic has been nothing short of wonderful in taking care of our cat, Doc. They were upfront and honest about cost and treatment and have answered my phone calls asking for updates and not once seem annoyed or bothered. We were not clients previously and they still took Doc in on an emergency. The Vet treating Doc was understanding and kind when I was a mess about things and really upset. The staff has been fantastic and we will now be permanently switching vet care to their facility.

This office is straight up trash. Want to drop your dog off for boarding? Be prepared to wait an hour. Want to pick them up? Be prepared to wait a literal hour. On time for your appointment? Be prepared to WAIT. The vets seem ok, Dr. Warner is extremely lacking in communication and is pretty condescending. Who knows if they are even decent at what they do- we see a different doctor almost every time. This last boarding visit will be my last business with Elko Vet- dropped off my perfectly unharmed dog only to be called the next day saying he needs sutures and they “don’t know what happened”

I've been to this vet for multiple cats, and every time I have been blown away by the level of care I have received. Everyone here is so passionate about what they do, and is dedicated to providing the best care possible. I feel blessed to have such an amazing vet so close by!

Outstanding and exemplary care for our Scottish Terrier when we left her for boarding. Kiawnni was amazing and so attentive to our pet's needs and emotions during her boarding experience. The entire team is fabulous, knowledgeable and professional down to the smallest detail. Dr. Cuthbertson overcame our terrier's anxiety right away when she was there for her first visit and she was very relaxed and agreeable with him. Thank you, thank you!
Can't say enough good things about this veterinary practice.

As a first time puppy owner I was very nervous with my lack of knowledge about what is a standard vet visit. The staff was very patient and friendly, they helped easy my anxiety and talked me through everything. They kindly directed me and showed only respect as I navigated the office. My puppy was nervous but not scared and everyone helped to keep him at ease. Overall, I was pleased with my experience. I’m grateful for competent staff in a workplace where many can feel very vulnerable.

Had to stop thru here on a roadtrip because my dog had an emergency. Hated the fact that I had to take her to a place she had never been, putting her paw in the hands of some stranger. We literally had 5 mins before their closing time, but they said if we got there after hours, to knock on the door and they'd see us, knowing it was an emergency. They were very sweet, caring and knew that we wanted to see our pups get better. We had to leave her overnight but they assured us it would be okay. Gave us an estimate of the costs and told us they would call us with the prognosis later that

I needed to get back to California for some important business, I was told by locals that Elko veterinary clinic was the place to go to board and figure out what my dog needs as far as medications . I was told he had a infection in his inner ear or something like that anyway they have taken care of him for the last few days, when I check in on him they give me updates tell me how he is and it seems he is doing well. Thank you very much Elko veterinary clinic you guys rock. And thank you for taking good care of my buster.....

We love this place. We just moved and needed a new vet for our two fur kids. Dr Warner is awesome. He takes time to see the dogs and talk to us. He is thorough and explain options. The staff is friendly and helpful. The waiting area is large and sectioned for fur kids to have separation. Love that they are open on the weekend too! They worked with us when we were away to get meds we forgot at home for our anxious dog to travel. Lifesaver!

While traveling through Elko, we wound up making an emergency stop here for our Cavalier. They were able to work him into their busy schedule, and we were very pleased with the care he received. Dr. Perchetti was thorough, explained everything well, and helped us feel confident we could get back home without further incident.

These people saved my butt. On the road with a sick dog. On a Saturday. The vets in Winnemucca were useless. Of the two, one had a recording, the other's "emergency" person was "off for the weekend." My dog was sick and needed fluids, which a vet in Portland, OR had administered two days earlier and which had really helped. They found a way to take me in, reassure me they would get my dog some fluids (thanks, Tiffany!) after talking with the tech. I saw a vet, who was kind and compassionate. They examined him and gave me - critically - a bag of fluids to take with me for

I cannot say enough about this veterinary clinic in Elko Nevada. D.V.M. Mike Perchettie has saved 3 of my dogs that were seriously ill. D.V.M Allen Cuthberson is an equally skilled veteran. The staff is skilled and helpfull. The facility is clean and well lit. They were able to diagnose and address medical issues with my dog that other vets failed to do. When it comes to saving your pets life, they will do an excellent job. I called them about a lost dog that was in a distressed condition they were able to reunite the dog with it's owner. This is a family founded bussisness Allen Cuthberson

I have to go back two more times in the next 3 weeks, but I have to say that this place is awesome! They are in the perfect price range and don't do ANYTHING without your approval. They were able to get me in the same day I called and I got to see Dr. Richardson. He made me feel so at ease and I felt like my concerns really had validation. He did a completely check up on her and was so gentle with her. He really took the time to talk to me and explain why he wanted to do what he wanted to do. He (and his vet tech!) made both me and my dog feel much better!
