A root canal is a treatment to repair and save a severely damaged or infected tooth instead of extracting it. Root canals get their name from the fact that the roots of our teeth have a canal or pathway in which the nerve and blood supply run. The procedure involves removing the infected nerve (or pulp) from the tooth.
If a tooth is broken or damaged by decay, we will try to fix it with a filling, crown or other dental treatment. But, when there's too much damage for the tooth to be repaired, the tooth may need to be extracted - or removed. A simple extraction is a procedure in which the removal of the tooth does not require any surgery or any stitches afterward.
Bridges and crowns are fixed prosthetic devices that are cemented onto existing teeth or implants. Crowns are used most often to entirely cover or "cap" a damaged tooth or cover an implant. You may be recommended a crown to replace a large filling where there isn't enough tooth, to attach a bridge, to restore a fractured tooth, or to protect a weak tooth from fracturing.

I recently moved to Mansfield. I broke my tooth and needed a dentist asap. I googled dentists near me, and chose Dr. Custer. I'm so thankful I chose him! The office has a very homey atmosphere, and the staff is so kind. Dr. Custer is very caring and understanding. He fixed my problem, and I couldn't be happier! I highly recommend him!😀

Sandy Wagner is clearly a pathological liar. If you look at all her other google reviews she is clearly not happy with anyone's services. She has left bad reviews at just about every place in Mansfield. Perfect example of someone that is just trying to make a quick buck for a made up lawsuit. She should be ashamed of herself! Dr. Custer is a fantastic dentist!

I am writing on behalf of my 89 year father. Dr. Custer and the great staff gave him SUPERIOR service. They took the time needed to really understand his dental needs. Absolutely great people. The Doctor listens to everything you say, he is very nice and considerate of what you have going on . It's a very nice and relaxing atmosphere, the people I got to speak to were all very nice. It's like you're dealing with family there. He is going to be our new family Dentist. This is no regular dentist, this is a man that takes his job seriously and truly cares about his patients. I have always had dental anxiety and was completely at peace through out my whole procedure. He walked me through it explaining every step on what he was doing. I received a phone call personally from him checking on my recovery. Although I was going through dental surgery he made my visit ourstanding!! Recommend him to everyone. His staff are amazing as well!! Secretary is wonderful!!

I found dds dennis Custer through our chuech .I was looking for a new dentist because I found out that some dentist charge way to much more than the onscurence pays out so if you are looking for a honest… dentist you have found him . I was charge $500 more than what some one has to pay by the amout of what the ins. charges Is this what [ep[le wamt a dishonest dentist who charge to much .Well I know I don't want that .O can say that here you get quality care with honest prices and the care is a 5 ster in my book .I thank the lord for sending him to our famiky

I don't know about you , but I am terrified of the dentist. So when I had a abscessed tooth and had to go in for an emergency I began a search for one. Luckily I found Dr, Custer , he was so nice and gentle with everything . I had to get that tooth pulled last night and by far was the best expierence with a denstist ive had . I recommend him to anyone. Thank you for you awesomeness :)
