Good is a fun and fresh New American restaurant located in a 178 year old stone house along the Mississippi River in Burlington, Iowa. Part of the Heritage Hill District and the recipient of historical landmark status, restoration grants and 2019's Best Renovation to a Facility Award, Good is comprised of a fresh hospitality team bringing new life to an old, awesome house.

The Harper-Ekdale House was completed in 1852, which makes it the oldest stone home in Burlington, and according to some, the entire state of Iowa. We have an ice house in our backyard! Chunks of ice were cut from the Mississippi River and carried 3 blocks up the hill to be stored in the tri-level ice house.
Located on the second story of our home, the Lounge is the ultimate place to kick back and relax. During the day it's the perfect place to have a meeting, get some homework done or just chill with friends. At night, it's our bar/hangout zone with all the fun games and ballpit shenanigans encouraged.
If you're looking for a place to host a totally unique event, let us suggest our house! Whether it's a baby shower, work presentation, holiday party, bridal shower, birthday or anniversary, we'd love to invite you into our historic space to give your guests a one of a kind experience. Indoor and outdoor spaces available and lots of space for social distancing.
Making memories over great food and drinks with old friends and new. At night, we serve up a small, curated menu of upscale Americana fare designed to please your imagination as well as your appetite. Reservations recommended, but not required. We're a big house with small, loud rooms so be ready to have fun, throw a few back, and meet some friends when you dine with us.
At Good, we freaking love drinks because there's nothing like sitting down with a friend and a cuppa. That's why we have a full espresso liquor bar. Our drink offerings are seasonal and constantly changing so come on in to see and experience our one of a kind cocktails and curated wine and beer lists.

What a delightful hidden gem. Easily the best restaurant in the area. We discovered this place earlier this year after coming to Burlington a number of times.
The entire menu is carefully thought out by ownership and staff. Everything is bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. I’m mostly enthralled with the bar and drinks selection. The most basic of classic cocktails are done excellently, and their seasonal and signature menu are fun and adventurous!
Service has always been great. Definitely make it a priority to make it here.

Recommend for breakfast/coffee. The space is great, especially the upstairs, would have loved to come for a coffee or wine glass to chill. We had dinner here though. The food looked great but tasted okay sadly. I understand menu rotates so everyone can have different experience. The drinks/cocktails were good.

Our third time here this year and it's been wonderful every time! Great service, amazing food, and delicious drinks. The menu changes each season so there's always something new to try. Also - dinner reservations are definitely recommended! We heard them having to turn a few people away since they were fully booked for the night.

Wow, talk about the perfect place for dinner. The food was wonderful, wait staff friendly and informative, and the building was beautiful. Plenty of places for photo ops and the upstairs lounge area would be perfect for hanging out with a group of friends to talk or play the games supplied by Good. We will be back.

Well, what can I say. I'm not a cuisine foodie but I know I like flavor. My wife and I had heard good things about GOOD. She however did have a so so experience with their lunch time/breakfast menu meal when out with a friend. While she and I had dinner this evening. We arrived just as the restaurant opened and were seated in a few minutes. The server arrived ten minutes later and dropped off menus. After a bit we had our choices and waited for Natalie N to arrive. We gave our drink orders and she began to walk away when we had to stop her as we had decided on our meals too. We waited for our meals
