I love this salon! The entire staff does a wonderful job of creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you walk through the door, Lauren is amazing and so sweet, I would highly recommend her services to anyone who loves a low maintenance and gorgeous look! I have been seeing Lauren for a couple years now, and everytime she does an awesome job and I leave there so happy every time!
But, more importantly, I work at Bear Creek Services and brought my individual in to get her hair done and I absolutely loved the way that Lauren got to know her, laughed with and did exactly what she wanted. She wants to see Lauren again, makes my heart happy. I won't see anyone else and I absolutely love the rest of the staff and owner, it's an awesome place!

Most drugstore brands are packed with ammonium laurel sulfate, the cheapest and most damaging of sulfates. This is very damaging to hair, and will even strip away your color. High-end products are generally Sulfate free and those that still contain sulfates use sodium laureth sulfate, which tends to be the gentlest of the sulfates, removing excess oils as opposed to stripping your hair of all oils.

I booked an appointment with STEPH STRISSEL after looking through her portfolio, amazing work. I was so scared as I’m trying to go lighter while saving my length. She is so kind, so funny, and so personable!! I showed her a picture of my idea and she did it exactly like it but better. My hair has never felt so good and the color feels great! I took my niece to Hailey for an extra special mermaid balayage for her birthday. Not only is her hair phenomenal, Hailey is so friendly and great with kids! The whole process took three hours which is a lot for a ten year old, but Hailey kept her engaged and made it a great, memorable experience.

I just got done getting a haircut from Brett. I originally had seen a post from a fellow curly-haired girlfriend of mine and since I was between salons and stylists, I decided to give it a go! Brett was ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL and took the time to explain everything he was doing and answering all of my curly hair questions. He listened to my hair concerns and showed me how to style my hair for my everyday use when I’m at home. He also sent me home with a couple of samples to try on my super fine hair. Such a gem! I came in from NJ so I was nervous about using a new hair salon but after reading the reviews I felt comfortable. I have never written a review but their service needed to be praised! I had Elly and she was amazing! Showed her a picture and she nailed the color with the highlights and made my hair feel healthy and look shiny. She is the sweetest and it was super clean in there I felt safe.

I don't often leave reviews unless it's really good or really bad but this was my second coloring visit with Stephanie S. and being a natural brunette I am very hesitant when adding blonde as I haven't had a great past with it. Both visits with Stephanie have left me feeling amazed at how beautifully she made me feel. It's very obvious how experienced and professional she is. The blonde balayage has been perfect and the color holds up beautifully. I've gotten many compliments from friends whom are very particular about their hair coloring asking me who did it and where I went as they are wanting

I don’t leave a lot of reviews, but I had an amazing experience! I haven’t gone to a salon in 8 years (as I have a family member usually cut my hair); because of this, I was skeptical about who to go to. It is also a struggle to find good stylists who know how to properly cut curly/wavy hair. Brett at Salon Chic took all of my anxieties away and made me feel so comfortable, relaxed, and reassured. Since leaving my trusted curly girl salon in the twin cities I was apprehensive about where to go in Rochester. After a friend tipped me about Brett at Salon Chic in 2015, I've never gone anywhere else. The desk staff is extremely welcoming. Brett always takes the time to consult me on what I want to do and always does a great job. The space is clean, the other staff are very friendly, and it's a fabulous atmosphere. I am always strongly recommending my friends this salon, as I would anybody who reads this review!

I recently moved to Rochester and have been having a hard time finding a hairstylist I trust. I thought I would give Salon Chic a try and I had a balayage with Kendra. She did an AMAZING job! The price for the balayage was reasonable, compared to other places I have tried in Rochester. I will be back!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Being newer to Rochester I was reluctant to find a stylist in the area. I was driving an hour and a half to my stylist back home and finally figured it was time for the switch. I started asking around and was referred to Salon Chic by a couple of coworkers. I called and made an appointment and then got worried. I had no idea how long this stylist had been working there or how experienced she was. I went here to get a Brazilian wax and the facility is FILTHY. The lady I had RE USED ONE wax stick for my whole area!!!! She kept dipping the same stick into the hot wax, and who knows how many other people's hair/skin is swimming in there. I would of bought my own box of wooden sticks and given it to her. And to make it worse they charged me $60!!! It's criminal! They should seriously be shut down! The bed I was on was filled with previous clients hair and wax, and generally the cleanliness in the room was appalling. Please DO NOT get waxed here.

I moved from San Antonio to Rochester about a year ago and haven't found anyone I trust enough to take me back to my big-blonde-Texas hair. Cue Kendra. She is AMAZING! Although she has only been doing hair a short time you would never know it. What a talented artist. She is truly gifted at what she does. Kendra took me from a flat, boring, mousy brunette to Texas bombshell! The salon itself is wonderful, too. I've been coming to Salon Chic for about a year and I've never left disappointed. I travel a lot for work and am always having to find a new stylist who is willing to take a chance and have as much fun with my hair and I like to have. I absolutely love everything about this place. Brett does a WONDERFUL job of cutting and coloring hair. It is truly a joy to get my hair cut. The facilities are top notch, and everyone is extremely professional and friendly. This is the place to go in Rochester, MN. The prices are reasonable and the service impeccable.
