Aggravated assault is a different type of crime than battery under the law. If you are charged with one of these crimes, you need to know what each means and how one differs from the other. Aggravated assault - Aggravated assault is the act of causing a serious injury to someone, typically by using a weapon or some other "aggravating" factor.
Under South Carolina state law, it technically isn't illegal to be intoxicated in public. However, what the law does prohibit is "gross intoxication" in public. Violation of this law is a misdemeanor that carries a fine of up to $100 or jail time up to 30 days. Note that this charge cannot be expunged from your record.

Attorney Marion M. Moses and his staff took lead in a motor vehicle claim for my son. I was exhausted from the car accident itself, to the hospital visits, billing, and trying to figure out the claims process. They ultimately took a weight off me.
