Toolander Engineering is a family owned and run business spanning 3 generations of Tool and Die makers. Toolander opened its doors in 1975 by Harri Kutzmarski an immigrant from Germany who served his apprenticeship as a Machine Builder in his native country. Harri moved to the states in 1960 and ended up in Rochester New York where he got a job at a Tool and Die shop and became fascinated with the progressive dies.
Toolander Engineering has specialized in precision metal stamping for custom components since 1975. We design, build and run progressive dies for light gauge tight tolerance intricate parts, as well as thicker gauge materials. We have served customers from a vast array of industries including medical, automotive, lighting, military, telecommunication and electronics to name a few.
At Toolander Engineering our tooling is of unsurpassed quality and the highest precision built by highly skilled and experienced Tool and Die Makers who have a passion for building dies. We specialize in building custom one of a kind tooling for light gauge tight tolerance parts as well as thicker gauge materials.
When the stamping process ends the journey for the parts are often just beginning. Automated machines are sometimes necessary to assemble one product to another. The team at Toolander Engineering can design and build automated equipment around your stamped parts to support you in a plethora of secondary operations.
A successful part often starts with a prototype model. Prototypes are necessary to test different materials and designs of a part. Costly mistakes in production can add up if this step is neglected. At Toolander Engineering we have over 40 years experience in producing complex tight tolerance prototypes with short lead times.
