Yoder-Bontrager Insurance was started by Alvin Yoder in 1957. Before he started writing insurance policies, Alvin owned a bookstore and paint depot with several of his brothers. A committed Mennonite, he founded the agency on the belief that insurance and financial services can be integrated with faith and stewardship.

Chris Minick with Yoder Insurance in Hartville, OH helped me lower my car insurance rate. I had been trying to accomplish this for a year. He was timely in emailing me a comparison of my current policy and a new policy. The new policy was lower and he even lowered my current policy. During our correspondence I moved and needed renters insurance also. At this point we met to finalize the policies. He was courteous and took care of all my needs. Chris Minick is my new Agent and I can’t begin to tell you what a great experience I had getting a very reasonable quote in a timely, professional manner! I saved $70 dollars a month by switching my Auto over to the insurance he recommended and got waaaay better coverage as well! I've worked with Chris Minick for insurance on our home, auto, motorcycle, RV, ATV's for years. We have been with Yoder-Bontrager for over 20 years and have always been satisfied. Recently we wanted to update our policies and worked with Chris Minick. He was knowledgeable and took the time to explain the benefits of adding an umbrella policy with having 3 teenagers on our auto policy. He was able to add more coverage to our home owners insurance, car insurance, and even with the addition of the umbrella policy he saved us $300 in insurance costs annually.
