He graduated USC Dental School in 1990 and started his practice in Morgan Hill, CA in 1992.
He served as President of the Santa Clara County Dental Society in 2013. We offer state-of-the-art dentistry in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. I never write reviews for anyone, but I must regarding Dr. Stein as he is a true gem! I woke up yesterday with horrible pain on my gum and back molar. My teeth have never given me trouble and I haven't been to a dentist in a decade. So this pain was a first for me. I asked a few friends in Morgan Hill for a dentist and two recommended Dr. Stein. I called the office at 10 am and they brought me in same day once they heard of my pain situation. Dr. Stein worked on fixing the issue for at least 45 minutes. When he was finished and as I was leaving, I noticed the office was closed and only Dr. Stein

I had a bad toothache over the holiday weekend. I called several dentist but none were taking new patient since they were mostly closed because of COVID19. Sue at Dr. Stein's was VERY helpful and gave me an appointment for the next morning. I was taken in quickly, xrays taken and Dr.Stein was examining my tooth in just a few minutes.(.Unfortunately I'm off to an oral surgeon.)
The office was very nicely set up, neat and clean. I will be back for cleaning when regular business is back open. I'm new to the area so have needed to find a new dentist, and I sure have!

I recently moved to Morgan Hill and needed a dentist. I found Benjamin Stein on-line and took a chance. I was looking for a first class dentist with years of experience and fair prices. Which is exactly what I got. I just finished my last appointment this morning and couldn't be more pleased. Ben is a skilled perfectionist who takes pride in his workmanship. Thank you Ben. Dr. Stein and his staff are the greatest. I have been going to him for years. Before Dr. Stein I was deathly afraid of dentist. He has made my experience so nice I don't hate going to the dentist any more. I started taking my children to him. He is so good with kid's. My son was 4years old and he would fall asleep in the chair. After my son's visit Dr. Stein would play with him with the toy my son picked out from the goodie chest.

Well, yesterday I literally broke down and cried in the dentist chair. Not from pain. The search is over for a dental hygienist who knows what she's doing. Suzanne was extremely thorough and listened carefully to my dental/ periodontal history and did an even better job than my long time hygienist that I was driving 4 hours to see. Let me just say that I have been to more than several dentists in the San Jose area and they all wanted to push services I did not need. And what they gave me as a cleaning was worthless. I have lived in Europe and America and without a doubt Doctor Stein and his staff are the best dentist office I have ever been to. So impressed was I that during summer visits to California I would schedule my appointments in this window so even though I was living in Europe my family dentist was in California. This decision has proved to be an excellent one over the last fifteen plus years.

I have been seeing Dr. Stein for about 3 yrs now. Except for the routine cleaning every 6 months (Susanne, the hygienist, is great), I had 3 other appointments for other dental work - mostly filings and they were all very pleasant. He is not pushy at all on things that can wait, like old fillings. He gives you a heads up on what could happen and the urgency of the problem.
I am 8 months pregnant and had a dental emergency - couldn't wait until the baby is born. Dr. Stein consulted with my OB and found the proper anesthesia that he could use. He was so nice and patient with my heartburn problem

The staff is friendly and helpful and Dr. Stein is honest and very gentle.
I've been going to Dr. Stein off and on for about 15 yrs.
I moved out of town and tried another dentist who told me I needed 10 (yes that right, I said TEN) crowns!! I changed my insurance and went to visit Dr. Stein....I needed 2 fillings!
I won't ever go anywhere else unless he suggests another doctor for other dental care!

Had a great experience at Dr. Stein's office. I called to see if I could get an appointment for a cleaning yesterday. They put me on a wait list (since it was last minute and busy around the holiday times). They called me later in the afternoon and fit me in for an 11am cleaning today.
The staff is a joy to talk to and Dr. Stein is very friendly and genuine. The office is nice and with a small town kind of feel, as they remember who you are and what my parents tell them about me.
Overall, this was my second time here and I'm a big fan because the office feels clean and sterile

Ben Stein is fast courteous and professional. No up-selling like I have had at other dentists. My first visit at his office I was in and out of his office in less than an hour, this was after a full exam and full X-rays. It turned out I needed a root canal and on that same visit he called another dentist (a root canal specialist) and booked an appointment that afternoon.

Dr. Stein is a fantastic dentist. Other dentists I've been to in the area are always trying to upsell you on teeth bleaching, mouthguards, and generally make me feel like I do a poor job taking care of my teeth! Not true, I feel I have a pretty nice set of chompers. I'd always feel bad when I walked out of other dentist offices. A few cavites in my life, 2 root canals, one which was handled very poorly by another Morgan Hill dentist, who charged me an arm and leg for a crown, which was made by some terrible lab that doesn't do good work!
