Active Chiropractic LLC PA, located in Saco, ME 04072, is a modern facility where we offer specific scientific chiropractic adjustments. Our goal with this care is to reduce and remove interference from your nervous system, known as subluxations. Your body has an "innate" ability to be healthy, so long as the controlling mechanism, the nervous system, is free from interference.
In simplest terms, a subluxation a.k.a. Vertebral Subluxation) is when one or more of the bones of your spine (vertebrae) move out of position and create pressure on, or irritate spinal nerves. Spinal nerves are the nerves that come out from between each of the bones in your spine. This pressure or irritation on the nerves then causes those nerves to malfunction and interfere with the signals traveling over those nerves.
This is a representation of one type of subluxation. A subluxation, as defined by the Association of Chiropractic Colleges is: "A subluxation is a complex of functional and/or structural and/or pathological articular changes that compromise neural integrity and may influence organ system function and general health."

I was happy with the care I received until I became aware that the staff did not intend to be immunized from covid and I no linger felt safe risking a breakthrough infection. As an alternative I am under the care of a vaccinated osteopath using alternative treatment. If being treated by unvaccinated persons does not concern you then you will be happy with the care you receive at Active Chiropractic.

Initial Meet & Greet went well. Excited to start the program and got all the materials to begin.
Read the booklets - made a call on Friday for some clarification - left message - no call back.
The weekend was tough. The 2-day Loading Period made me sick. Lots of indigestion and stomach discomfort & pain. Unfortunately did not reach 5,000 calories each day.
Looking forward to today’s weigh/measure.

Cant say enough wonderful things about this place. I had a pretty severe flare up while on vacation and not only did they fit me in but opened up early to get me seen ASAP! You just don't see that level of patient care and concern nowadays. Dr. BRENT and Doreen were amazing. Absolutely love this place! I am a frequent visitor to the area so it gives me great peace of mind that I have a place to go if needed.

When I arrived two young ladies treated me like I was always there. Felt very comfortable getting used to all the electronics they have to sign in with. Dr. Brent very professional. The building was very clean I was treated exactly the way I felt I should be treated. Only thing that could be better is getting a quicker appointment.
