Frisella Design (formerly known as IYRIS, LLC) was founded in 2002 to provide design and fabrication services for industrial automation clients in the New England area. The principals bring over 40 years of combined product, machine design and manufacturing experience to Frisella Design clients. Phil Frisella, our President and CEO, has over 30 years of product and machine design experience.
The Frisella Design team is composed of experts in product and machine design using the latest 3D CAD tools with over 20 years of experience. We work with a broad range of clients, from internationally known corporations all the way to individual inventors who need demonstration prototypes to secure funding capital.

Frisella Design is known for designing and building automation engineering solutions that have confounded other automation companies. In this example, Frisella has created a custom and very compact Fanuc robotic arm device that takes newly molded large water bottles of various shapes, and inserts them into a stripping device that automatically shears off the plastic waste flash (waste material) left over from the molding process.
Frisella Design specializes in difficult automated solutions that baffle many other engineering companies. This device allows for the speedy assembly of both short and long run projects, and greatly reduces manual labor, which increases profits while shortening assembly time. The assembler uses two precision cameras to aid in the pickup and placement of each part in its proper location on the circuit board.

I worked with Phil and his people for a couple of years on a groundbreaking project at my previous company. I can't recommend them enough - they were always knowledgeable, professional, and enjoyable to work with.
