Gail is a Southern California native, who has been in the orthodontics field for over 35 years. As an office manager with a dental assisting degree, Gail is great at setting up comfortable financial arrangements and clearly explaining orthodontic treatment and insurance benefits to patients and parents.
Orthodontics is a branch of dentistry specializing in the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of jaw, face and bite irregularities. Orthodontic treatment is provided by an oral health care provider known as an Orthodontist, who has typically completed two to three years of additional training beyond dental school.
Up to 16 new permanent teeth will have erupted between the ages of 10 to 12 years. At the proper stage of development, We will recommend complete diagnostic records to evaluate exactly what is required in Phase II treatment. Phase II treatment usually consists of full braces to move the teeth to finish correcting the malocclusion (bad bite).
Braces aren't just for kids anymore. Tooth alignment can be changed at any age if your gums and bone structure are healthy. We offer a variety of treatments that are designed for different age groups including adults. A new smile can begin today. Orthodontic treatment at later stages in life can dramatically improve your personal appearance and self esteem.

I was a little apprehensive about getting braces again after 40 years, but Dr. Chen and all the staff at Legacy have made it a great experience. Everyone is very professional, efficient, and also upbeat. I actually look forward to my appointments! I feel welcome, they all know my name and make me as comfortable as possible. I'm very glad I chose Legacy Orthodontics and can't wait to show off my new and improved smile in a few more months.

Both my sister and I got our braces here and we are so happy with the results! Dr. Chen and the staff are extremely kind and making appointments as well as attending them was so easy and stress-free. I had to get corrective lower jaw surgery and Dr. Chen worked with my surgeon to deliver the best results, he really took the time to perfect my teeth and bite. We would highly, highly recommend this place to anyone, they are truly the best!

Love all the ortho doctors and staff at this orthodontics practice in Tustin. We had both our daughters in braces during High school and I am also now doing Invisalign as an older adult through their office. They have always been so helpful, kind and efficient and also reasonably priced for the quality and service provided. I highly recommend using their office for all of your ortho needs. We keep coming back!! We live in South Orange County and it's worth the drive .. also love that they are NOT "retail orthodontists" who push treatments that are expensive and unnecessary...

I started my journey with braces since I needed to have double jaw surgery for an underbite. I drive an hour and a half to get to my appointments, but my results are so worth the drive. Dr. Chen has worked with my surgeon to give me the best results possible. I get my braces off in a few months and can't wait to see my new smile. Dr. Chen has done an excellent job on my daughters orthodontic treatment. As a dentist myself, I am able to see the progress and the way Dr. Chen treatment plan, which is non aggressive and does his upmost professional job for the benefit of the patient. Dr. Chen was very concerned about my daughters progress and went above and beyond expectations to meet that perfect smile. I would recommend Legacy Orthodontics to others.

I took my daughter to get a consultation for braces two years ago. I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the office, and the way the staff treated my daughter which made her feel comfortable. Dr Chen and Dr. Pham went over her situation and showed concern for her bite that I never saw or thought of until they pointed it out. We started treatment right away, I am grateful to Legacy for giving my daughter a awesome smile that rocks! Thanks again to the whole staff for everything they did.

I definitely recommend Legacy Orthodontics to my family and friends! The staff is caring and thoughtful and the doctors are kind, considerate and down to earth. The office has a monthly drawing for their patients where you can win movie tickets, gift cards, etc; it’s a really nice thing to do when you have to go in every month. My daughter has been coming here for years! (No, they didn't mess up on her braces, she didn't wear her retainer and had to go back for a 2nd round). They are always polite and accommodating. The best part? There is almost always no waiting and they take you at your appointment time - so important when we live our crazy over scheduled lives. Dr. Chen is truly amazing! He cares about how well your teeth are developing and gives you detailed explanations about everything. He is also very understanding, as many times, my braces had something wrong with them and it was past the office hours. My mom contacted him and said that we needed his help. Although it was about 9 pm, Dr. Chen actually made sure to meet up with us, and fixed the problems.
I got my braces off about a year ago, and I have to say, my teeth look fabulous! I am thankful for Dr. Chen and his team's work.
