Services
The first step is to understand where your child is. One size does not fit all, your child will receive a comprehensive caries risk assessment that will assist us in tailoring a patient care formulation based on your child's needs and your family's expectations. We believe that parents are an extremely important part of oral care and are absolutely welcome to be a part of the process.
We are specially trained to handle your child's dental needs during their developmental years. Our emphasis is on total preventive care for our patients. Total care begins with regular exams, cleanings, education and continued home oral health routines. We provide many preventative measures to keep your child's teeth clean and healthy, including sealants and fluoride treatments.
Your initial exam will last approximately one hour. One size does not fit all, your child will receive a comprehensive caries risk assessment that will assist us in tailoring a patient care formulation based on your child's needs and your families' expectations. In most cases, we will also clean your teeth on this visit and provide an evaluation that will outline your existing dental problems and proposed treatment.
The sooner the better! Starting at birth, clean your child's gums with a soft infant toothbrush or a spiffie (pictured). As soon as the teeth begin to appear, start brushing twice daily using fluoridated toothpaste and a soft age-appropriate sized toothbrush. Use a "smear" (picture) of toothpaste to brush the teeth of a child less than two years of age.
Throughout your life, you will have two sets of teeth: primary (baby) teeth and secondary (permanent) teeth. At age 6-8 months, the primary teeth appear; all 20 are in place by age 3. Permanent teeth will begin to grow around age 6, and except for wisdom teeth, are all present between ages 12 and 14.

My daughter has been seeing Dr. Curtis since she was 4 weeks old when we had to get her tongue tie revised. As a new mom of course I was nervous about the revision but Dr. Curtis was very professional and gave us great advice about how to care for my daughter and her teeth. We have been seeing them every 6 months since then and Dr. Curtis has always been just as professional and caring. Yesterday was my daughters 2 year old appointment and even though my daughter was scared of someone else brushing her teeth, Dr. Curtis was very quick and efficient at cleaning her teeth and singing a special baby

Very knowledgeable! Using him as our regular pedi dentist and to revise my youngest's tongue tie. Conservative with treatment, which I love. Very happy at this practice!

I would not recommend this office to anyone. My three-year-old grandson was referred to this dentist office and unfortunately his appointment was scheduled on the day his mom had to be in the hospital to Welcome his baby sister to the world. So unfortunately we had to cancel his dentist appointment. We had to wait for his mom to get over having a new baby to reschedule his appointment. We rescheduled the appointment and then by the time the appointment arrive to covid- 19 has already set in. Once again unfortunately we had to cancel his appointment due to we had not been taking the children out

Been seeing Dr. Curtis since my son was born! He has always been great. Unfortunately I have to dive my kids a hour to see him. Upon arriving for my 10 year old daughter (who is scared) to get a tooth pulled for the first time. I had no one to leave my 4 year old with! My mother was out of state, due to my grandmother having a stroke. My husband, father, and brother all work out of state. So it wasn't ideal to take him to watch his sister, but I didn't have a choice. Doctor said it was an extra tooth that needed to come out soon or her mouth was going to become over crowded. We was greeted at the

I usually don’t give reviews but after my experience with Dr. Curtis today and reading other reviews I feel like I should. The very first visit back in June to get my sons teeth cleaned for the first time Dr. Curtis was very nice and patient but my son was very calm and did everything that was asked of him. So we’ve had to wait two months to try and get a cap on my sons tooth because of scheduling. which is fine but after all that happened we didn’t even get to have it done. It was my sons first time being in an actual dentist chair and laying down. So obviously he was scared. Between the

There seems to be a huge decline in the service people received 2 years ago compared to now. If you were to go off the previous reviews, one would assume this was a great place. Please take heed to the recent reviews. I have found a new dentist for my child, and would never take my kid to this individual again!! I would highly recommend another dentist office for your child!!
