I grew up with a hammer in my hand and have been building things for as long as I can remember. Thanks to my parents, I was programmed to be an engineer long before I ever knew what one was. The more I learn, the more it seems so few people in the world like what they do, so I consider myself truly lucky to love being an engineer.
No matter how complex or involved each new engineering project is, our versatile team has the experience to know exactly what is required to achieve success. We're here to guide you through every step of the process, from design through construction.

I've always been fascinated with mining engineering, and would have liked to have worked on the Chunnel or other deep bore tunneling project. I was initially inspired as a kid by my mother's uncle, the only other civil engineer in our family. Growing up, I heard lots of stories about my Uncle Norman who was one of those "dam engineers" that worked on the construction of the Oroville and Shasta Dams in the 1960s.
With extensive experience in nearly every type of bridge project, we've designed new bridges, bridge widenings and other bridge modifications, as well as rehabilitation of existing and historic bridges. Many of our engineers are former Caltrans staff who have a thorough understanding of the state and federal funding process and have maintained solid working relationships with Caltrans staff.
Quincy staff has significant experience from designing new interchanges to reconstructing and making operational improvements to existing ones. Our civil engineers develop innovative solutions to meet a project's needs, while working within the project constraints, such as designing for construction staging and reducing traffic impacts.
