Our Smile Stop team is caring, patient, and committed to ensure a successful visit for you and your child. We look forward to meeting you. Dr. Mrunal Parmar graduated from New York University (NYU) with a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Biology before earning his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from NYU College of Dentistry.
We understand you are busy and we strive to accommodate our patients to the best of our ability. We strive to offer each patient the optimal experience, which includes scheduling appointments around times that are best-suited for the patient's age. Based on our experience, we highly recommend that children with extensive dental needs or children under the age of four be seen in the mornings when they are fresh and alert.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children receive their first dental examination by their first birthday. It is important by that time, no matter how few teeth a child may have, to start a regiment of good oral health. Starting early allows for your child to become familiar and comfortable with the dentist from a young age and makes subsequent visits more enjoyable.
Teething occurs when the baby teeth begin to grow in. While this is relatively problem-free for most children, others may experience some discomfort. We recommend frozen washcloths, frozen teething rings and if needed some Tylenol or Motrin to provide comfort through this process. You may notice a drop in appetite, but it's important to ensure that your little one is well hydrated.
We know that dental injuries and emergencies can be frightening. Please do not hesitate to call us if you feel that your child is experiencing a dental emergency. We are always available as someone is always on emergency call. We will guide you through the emergency, deliver the necessary treatment, or get you in touch with the appropriate dental or medical specialist.

This was our first time here and the staff was wonderful. Dr. P. was very thorough and patient. He has great bedside manner. My son was comfortable through the whole visit and loved that he could watch Netflix! 😀. I was happy to find a local dentist that specializes in tongue tie which is hard to come by. I highly recommend Dr. P!

Natalia, Dr. B and the ENTIRE office does an amazing job. Incredibly friendly, patient and kind. Even though my 3 year old has been several times he was hesitant. Natalia was so patient and knew all the right things to say to my son to make him comfortable. Let him touch the spinning toothbrush, pick his toothpaste flavor, and watch a show while she cleaned his teeth. EXCELLENT JOB, we look forward to our next visit!

We had a great experience at Smile Stop. Dr. P is fantastic. He corrected our daughter’s lip and tongue tie. Prior to the procedure he explained every detail and really put us at ease. Very personable and has excellent bedside manners. The entire office staff is very friendly and super helpful. I would highly recommend Dr. P to anyone that is looking for a pediatric dentist.

My 7 week old daughter had a posterior tongue tie that was causing her to choke every time she breastfeed. She had so many issues with acid reflux, feeding, gas, and sleeping. We went to so many doctors to try to figure out what was going on. Finally, our lactation consultant thought that she had a posterior tongue tie and told us to go to a pediatric dentist to get it lasered. The dr. And the team at The Smile Stop were amazing. I cannot say enough about Dr. P and his whole team! I brought my 2 month old in for a lip and tongue tie procedure and everything was amazing from the start. Dr. P was upfront about what the procedure entailed, the recovery period, and what we needed to do to help at home. It's scary having to do any procedure on your baby, but we were made to feel comfortable every step of the way. We do not live local to this office but we will absolutely continue to see Dr. P when our son starts getting his teeth because we love him so much!

Dr. Parmar fixed our newborn son’s tongue tie when he was 3 days old. Dr. P is personable, kind, knowledgeable and experienced. He made us feel at ease immediately and the procedure was quick. I immediately noticed a difference with my son’s ability to move his tongue with breastfeeding. We also see Dr. P with our 2 and 3 year old. The whole staff is friendly and warm, making all of our kids feel safe and comfortable. We are so grateful to have found such an amazing practice.

I have a 4 year old girl and a 2 year old boy. Every time we have been here, my daughter absolutely loved it!! She flosses every night now so “Dr P” will be proud of her. She even had a cavity and still loves it! My son on the other hand is not the greatest patient!! Natalia was sooooo amazing with him. I am so thankful she was there to help get him to cooperate!

I can't say enough great things about this practice! After finding out my 16 month old had a lip and tongue tie, I decided to schedule an appointment with Dr. Parmar since he was highly recommended in another fb group. So glad I did! Dr. Parmar was fantastic! He was incredibly knowledgeable and explained everything to me and made sure I felt… completely comfortable with the surgery before he did it (I also never once felt rushed and he made sure to answer every single question I had). He even offered to help carry my son's car seat back to my car after the procedure. The office was so clean
