Fox Hill Gardens
Fox Hill Gardens was founded in 1990 when owner John Allegar decided to start a homeowner's nursery. John transformed virtually all of the 2 1/2 acre property into a rolling landscape chock full of beauty in every season. Fox Hill Gardens is open for sales spring to fall each year, sourcing plants appropriate for Pennsylvania's climate, along with fertilizer, soil amendment, mulch, straw, stone, and other hard and soft landscaping materials.

Our seasonal displays include annuals, hanging baskets, and special holiday selections. We offer more than 450 varieties of perennials, specializing in natives and shade plants, and over 200 types of woody trees, shrubs and groundcovers. Fox Hill Gardens has been described as a maze you will enjoy getting lost in.
Services
Right now over 350 perennial varieties are on sale at Fox Hill Gardens at Buy 2 Get 1 Free! We still have a very broad selection of plants in our inventory, including bee balm, coreopsis, phlox, iris, black-eyed susan and many other staple summer bloomers for every growing condition, as well as some things you might not have seen before.
These lists represent what is projected to be available at Fox Hill Gardens in 2021. Updates will be posted as we get more information. Through the year we will update these lists as the inventory changes. Please note that we cannot guarantee dates when these plants will be available, and some items listed here will need to be dug and potted before becoming available for sale.

My wife and I have always enjoyed walking through FOX HILL GARDENS when looking to enhance our landscaping. The setting in the GARDENS is spectacular and the variety and obvious health of their plants, trees and shrubs for sale keeps bringing us back.
For several years we have struggled to find a perfect plant choice for a rather large area in our back yard. We also had several beds that needed some bushes. This year we reached out to FOX HILLS GARDENS for an on-site consultation.
Holly was the person who came up to hear our concerns and make suggestions. After she assessed the area and took

I was at Fox Hill Gardens from 10 to 11 am this morning. They are a local (not big box) gardening center that appears to specialize in native plants. Excellent service. Excellent masking. Excellent social distancing. And btw, the plants arre wonderful. We just filled our porch planters with a variety og grasses, ferns, green perennials, and flowering pkants. I didn't take a picture at the Gardens, but did take some pictures of the finished product at our home ( the porch pkanters are a reproduction from the original porch that was torn down and reproduced from a 1927 photo last year)

Wow!! What a delight to visit Fox Hill Gardens for the first time. The nursery is downright enchanting from the moment you enter the property. The layout strikes a perfect balance between whimsy and practicality; and every corner is lush and alive.
I visited today in search of late-season milkweed, and Fox Hill Gardens really delivered. My own milkweed plants are looking a bit worse for wear at this point in the season, so I hoped to bolster my supply for this last generation of monarchs.
Fox Hill had a lovely selection of milkweed, and Matt was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Well worth

I am an experienced perennial gardener and enjoy going to Fox Hill Gardens for a number of reasons. The plants are always in excellent condition; the selection is the best in the area bar none; the staff is friendly and knowledgeable; the prices are reasonable; the venue is beautiful. I encourage every local gardener and visitor to check out Fox Hill Gardens every year. They never disappoint!

What makes Fox Hill so charming is that they have their selections nestled within their own gardens. It's gorgeous! There was a family there that was so enamored by the scenery, they started taking family photos!
I'm not a novice gardener, but I learned a lot there today, between all of the helpful signage and the conversations with the staff. Each of the plants is well marked with notes on how to plant them, how large they will grow, and when they'll bloom (and even the color of the blooms).Another thing I really appreciate is that they have signs telling you which plants are native

Nice selection of good quality plants, just in time for Spring! The woman who helped me knew what I was talking about in terms of strawberry varieties and in picking out the right one for me.
