The name Steelhead refers both to the building material and to the resilient fish. We believe in a sustainable co-existence of the built and natural environments. We also believe in a regional modernist view of architecture that sees the beauty both in our rivers and forests as well as our industrial landscapes.
Steelhead Architecture is a design office focused on commercial and residential architecture plus urban design and planning. Steelhead was founded in 2010 by Gabriel Headrick, AIA after 15 years of work in both Portland and San Francisco. Our experience includes mixed use and high density, multi-family residential, custom modern houses, breweries and pubs and high performance construction.
