Baxt Ingui Architects, P.C. is an award-winning firm that has been a leader in design and sustainability for over 40 years. We aim to create well-composed spaces, placing a high value on ensuring each project is well crafted, visually timeless, and serves its inhabitants for many years. We have extensive experience in residential, institutional and commercial projects.

Our design process relies on collaboration with our clients and extends to the builders, consultants, and craftsmen with whom we work. It is our goal to integrate function, aesthetics and building systems economically and minimize the environmental impact, using the standards of LEED and Passive House certification.
Services
Since our inception in 1977, Baxt Ingui Architects has committed to designing beautiful, sustainable homes. In 2011, we entered a new arena of sustainable building: Passive House. To date, we have completed 11 passive houses, with 10 more currently in the works.

These include the first Certified Passive House in an NYC Landmarked District, the first Certified Passive House in Manhattan (which is also certified LEED platinum), and the first Passive House Plus in North America. These super-insulated houses use a fraction of the energy that a typical residence consumes, have better air quality, and provide more comfort to occupants.
The surviving historic detailing in this Carroll Gardens brownstone became a shining feature of the finished home. Our goals included preserving historic details and connecting living spaces across multiple levels while meeting Passive House standards. Implementing Passive techniques in historic homes can be challenging, and this project was no exception.
BIA Interiors LLC specializes in creating spaces that are uniquely individual to each client, guiding them through the design process with a focus on well-composed, comfortable, and functional designs ranging from classic townhouse interiors and distinctive apartments, to hospitality and retail environments.

Report
They say they are a neighborhood firm - but they have ZERO consideration for neighbors. They continue to work in unsafe conditions. And constantly put you at risk with their lack of notifications and communication when working on adjacent buildings. Completely inconsiderate with their project management - we have had to sue to get them to follow proper protocols. Avoid at all costs!
