One of the most disappointing meals ever. We were very excited to try the Mexican menu.
We started with chips and Pico de Gallo. These were good. Crispy chips and fresh Pico. For dinner we ordered chicken fajitas and American style beef tacos. These dishes were terrible. Nothing had any Mexican seasoning. The tacos were plain ground beef that was very dry in a soft shell. Being "American style " we expected crispy shells.
The fajitas were brought out sizzling on a hot plate. Off to a great start! Nothing else came out with it. No tortilla shells, or sour cream or the Mexican rice and refried

We stopped in for a quick midday lunch. The calamari salad was outstanding, fresh and bright with a lemon vinaigrette dressing. Street tacos were double-husked with lots of character in the roasted pork, and the guacamole was very smooth but not too thin. Service was fast and friendly, too. Ella's was a great find, easily accessible, and definitely a place to grab a bite!

This was my first time eating food here ever since the owners been changed and oh God was it bad. Ordered a chicken Alfredo with calamari on the side. It seemed like there was no effort put in whatsoever with the Alfredo sauce it was basically milk noodles with old chicken. The calamari was extremely greesy and had a rotten taste to it. Would not recommend this place at all. You better off spending your money on taco bell.

We were craving Mexican food this evening but wanted to try a new place. I'm happy we gave them a shot. We had burritos and chimichangas. Chicken and beef. They were really big and filled with delicious… filings. The tortilla chips that accompanied them were delicious too. One of them is plenty for a meal. I'm 6'2", 230 and so is my son, one was quite filling for us. We can't wait to try more items on the menu. A great little place in Hellertown.

My husband and I ordered take-out, and ordered our usual meals, but they tasted different (not good). Very disappointed. We’ve noticed changes since they switched over, but the Italian food had stayed… consistent...not anymore. I swear the mushrooms in my Chicken Scallopini were canned mushrooms and the sauce did not taste correct. The dinner rolls provided to us were so hard, we couldn’t bite into them. Ellas is not what it used to be. Restaurant is too focused on Mexican menu, that it’s disregarded the original Italian menu for this once desired BYOB. Save your money

Carol Bailey Burns and I had Mexican dinner at Ella’s tonight. I had the sizzling steak fajitas and Carol had pineapple pork tacos. We also had a side of guacamole with fresh made, warm chips. Both meals were excellent. The steak was tender and plentiful with plenty of onions and peppers. Carol said the tacos were very good too. The guacamole had… just the right amount of heat. Rice and beans also came with the fajitas. We’ve eaten at a lot of Mexican restaurants in the valley and in Puerto Vallarta Mexico, and this rates right up at the top with the rest. Good job Ella&rsquo

My son and I had an amazing experience this evening at Ella’s. The service was incredible and while I only made it through my appetizer (everything sounded delicious on the special menu!), we had to head out… for Cub Scouts. The staff quickly wrapped up my entree so we wouldn’t be late and I wished I arrived earlier to enjoy! From the hostess greeting us to our server thanking us for choosing Ella’s after taking dinner to go, it was such a pleasant experience all around!

This place was amazing! It’s definitely my new favorite restaurant! The food was the best Italian I’ve ever had! The staff was amazing. Our server, Allison was so kind and energetic. The manager, Sarah was… great and checked to make sure everything was perfect. My husband and I are extremely impressed with this place! I definitely recommend it!!!!
