AIT Acupuncture Injection Therapy is a combination of Homeopathic Medicine Acupuncture and Trigger point injections to treat a variety of medical issues. My first ever experience with accupuncture was over in 30 minutes. Barely a consultation, a brief diagnosis followed quickly by advice that I needed a package of 6 to 10 treatments ( but would benefit from today's single treatment as well). No medical history, no questions about medications or any real I interest in how I'd possibly sustained my back pain. I felt no improvement and found the application of needles to my back then being left alone for ten minutes before they were removed bewildering. I found the whole experience, and Dr Steingraber's barely sympathetic manner

I have been suffering with compartment syndrome for the better part of the year. I was very weary on trying anything new. On my first visit my pain completely went away after going back to fire school. In school I developed more pains in different places and she was very capable of fixing them. The monthly sessions are worth it. she's very professional, very patient, very knowledgeable, educated and knows what she's doing she has help me get through school. Thanks Doc!

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Marcia, she has changed my life! I had never had acupuncture until coming to her. I have struggled severely with Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, it's a very serious disorder and it has caused me panic attacks, insomnia, anxiety, flashbacks, nightmares, and the list goes on. Marcia is a person that is genuinely invested in helping her patients get better. She takes the time to listen to your concerns and explains everything as she is doing her job. She is very personable which helps you feel comfortable working with her.
Prior to becoming a patient of Marcia's, I had seen others that provided this service but did not feel any progress. Upon switching to her, I have experienced improvement in my condition and would highly recommend her.

Post surgery for lower back injury. After a few months of therapy provided by Workmans Comp.
I was on my own. I was still suffering from muscle tightness and back pains. I reached out to Dr Steingraber and found relief from her treatments that was well planed out and and holistic in nature looking at my injury and current state to improve my recovery. I have seen improvements in my flexibility and pain thanks to Alpha acupuncture!

Dr. Marcia is incredible. I've been coming to her for a few years. She's helped my metabolism, my mood, my energy and most importantly she's given me relief from a 12 year old SI joint injury. She even figured out that a lot of my SI pain is redirected from my lower back. I see her once a week and she always makes time for me. I never tried acupuncture before. When I started, I was almost crippled from the pain of a car accident from two years ago. I had tried everything and physical therapy and drugs didn't help. I had back surgery scheduled, the pain was so bad. This has been the GREATEST discovery of my life and I cannot recommend Dr. Marcia highly enough. I was out of the severe pain on the first day. Continued treatment has expanded my range of motion. What an amazing experience. She offers both hope and solutions -- a rare combination. Try it!!!

Dr. Steingraber is awesome!!! I suffer from anxiety and scoliosis and all the yucky things associated with them. I also suffer from trigeminal neuralgia which is one of the most painful nerve disorders known to man. My rib goes so far out of place from my scoliosis that i can't lift my arm sometimes. When I leave Dr. Steingraber ' s office I feel like I'm walking on air! Alright; if you look at my Yelp review history, you'll find out that I'm an extremist. I only review something if I absolutely abhor it, or if I'm absolutely wowed by an experience.
My husband has been going to see Dr Marcia for several months due to chronic back pain and shoulder pain that constantly gets aggravated in his line of work. He's definitely not one for doctors, and I was surprised to see that he kept on going back, week after week. What a fantastic experience! I went to Dr. Marcia for some preventative treatment in advance of training for the Chicago Marathon in the fall. Her orthopedic background gives her a great insight into the mechanics of running, and she was quickly able to diagnose an underlying cause of some of my chronic pains MUCH better than any other sports doctor or physical therapist I have ever been to. In one treatment where Dr. Marcia helped me realign my glutes (not as bad as it sounds), my stride is already much improved! I will definitely continue to work with her as my training progresses throughout

I wasn't at all a believer in acupuncture until I started going to see Marcia at Alpha Acupuncture. I struggled with sleep/stress, orthopedic issues and eczema. Marcia and her knowledge/use of acupuncture have made a big difference for me. She knows her field as well as anyone I know. She's very good about explaining the process and helping address multiple issues at once. Dr. Steingraber is amazing! I had a problem with one of my hips that was causing me major discomfort. Not only did she realign my hip but relieved all of my pain with one acupuncture session. I have also seen her for various other pain management issues and she fixes things every time. She listens to her patients and does whatever she can to help. She is wonderful!
