At Golden Irene Restaurant we make every dish from scratch, ranging from Greek and Mediterranean to Italian cuisines. Hand made pastas, freshly cut steaks, and local seafood are some of our main dishes, plus we also serve gourmet sandwiches, pizzas, and salads. More than a third of the items on our menu are made gluten free and we have a strict allergen policy to ensure all diners safety.
Golden Irene Restuarant has been located in East Windsor, near Bradley International Airport, for over 30 years and is still serving neighboring towns such as Broad Brook, Enfield, Windsor, Suffield, and Ellington. We have developed our own growing plan for the summer months, allowing us to serve the freshest vegetables right out of the garden.

We went here on a Friday night around 6, so we expected a wait, which was fine. It took about 15-20 minutes to get a table. Once seated a waitress came over and took drink orders fairly quickly. Drinks took about 15 minutes to get, which again being a Friday with the bar being crowded wasn't a surprise. I ordered the chicken parm which came with homemade pasta. Which once it came was very good, tender chicken, pasta was great. Prices are reasonable and good selection of different dishes. The main issue and why they lost a star is that I can understand staffing shortages and taking longer than usual

Wow a real hidden gem. Our kids loved making their own pizza what a great idea. I got the pork chop it was huge and the potatoes and brussel sprouts were fresh and perfectly seasoned. The fried egg on top made the meal. We'll be back so glad we found this place. The patio was very nice and the inside was clean and inviting.

Great food. Bar seats are a little tight but amazing bartender. My boyfriend had the bacon cheeseburger and it was absolutely amazing. I have never said that about a burger before!! I had the squash involintini which was delicious as well. We order their new yorl style pizza to go the following evening! May return to night for drinks and apps 😋🤔

We were traveling through Hartford and found a friend we'd met in another country(!!) and ended up here, in this off the main drag, divey looking restaurant.
Pizza in so many combinations, seafood, burgers, homemade pasta! Hooray!! A little of everything on the menu.
I ordered the Pasta Carbonara, my partner decided on the Shrimp and Pasta special and our friend had the American Cheeseburger with homemade chips. The portions are decent, we made it back to the hotel with a massive amount of leftovers.
The service was good, friendly waitress. Intimate patio with a gas heater for those chilly nights

First off, don't judge a book by it's cover completely covers this place. Outside looks like a dive bar, we almost didn't go in. We got a recommendation to go here and try a few items so we did. It was a bit pricey, but the food was delicious. Our server, Christine, was delightful and offered us the specials for the night and it completely changed the order we were planning on making. The manager brought us our entrees and checked in on our meal, along with our server checking in. All in all, it was an amazing experience. We will definitely be back for another date night.

I'll be honest and say that when my boyfriend and I decided to go here for dinner I was a little skeptical. I hadn't heard of it before and it seemed to be located a bit off the beaten path. I looked at the menu online however and really liked the options, so we gave it go.
There was plenty of parking and a sign near the road so people don't miss it and drive by. The inside was dark and cozy feeling, I really liked the atmosphere. My wife and I ate here for the first time recently and had a very good experience. We were surprised by the atmosphere inside and only had a short wait for a table.
Once seated we were brought a small portion of bread which was very warm and soft along with dipping oil which wall filled with garlic, salt, pepper and other herbs.
We started with calamari which was very well seasoned and the peppers added a nice kick.
