Allen bought the company back in 1988 with the assumption that there would always be food around. Allen is a fixer with the ability take extraneous parts and make them into something great. When he is not at Taylors you can find him outside on his bike, hiking through the Smoky Mountains, under an old car or spending time with his daughters and wife, Debbie.

This place takes forever to do anything. My cat has an eye infection and it took a week for them to get the medication prepared. A super nice lady named Sydney on the phone told us to come pick it up today at 5. But when we arrived, the girl at the front who was very lazy and super unhelpful, told us to come back at 530. While running errands on my day off, coming all the way out here, then sitting for 30 mins wasn't ideal. We popped back in at 530 and it still wasn't done.. we had to wait longer. But don't worry the girl went sprinting out of there right on time and left the poor

Horrible, Horrible, Horrible..... We had a prescription for our sick cat of 30 pills on December 10th. We paid in full but they sent us only 8 pills. We called multiple times looking for the status on the rest of the prescription and were told it was either not ready or had already been shipped. The cat needed the meds so the vet ordered a different prescription from Taylors, which we paid for in full and received. They have subsequently called us a month later and said they were ready to ship the now useless prescription. When we told them it was no longer a valid prescription they refused to

They no longer offer auto-refill services - making you call or send form each month. The service was fantastic when it was offered - but apparently with a new prescription it is no longer offered. They say system is down - but that is obviously not the case. Other than that they have been fine to work with.

This pharmacy and their employees are amazing. I have a very sick kitten who is literally fading away due to an infection. The medication he needs can only be made by a compound pharmacy and Taylor Pharmacy is the only local option I had. I went to pick up the prescription a few hours after it being called in only to find out it took longer to make (it literally needs to be made on site) and wouldn't be available until closing time. I was in tears because I was unable to come back to grab it until the morning. The pharmacist, James I believe, heard my story and offered to drop it by after work

I can understand why this place has so many bad reviews. It is impossible to get someone on the phone and it takes at least a day to get a call back. My dog was in need of a compounded medication badly. The vet called it in on a Monday and it wasnt ready until after 5 on Thursday! I was told on the phone when they finally did call NOT come until AFTER 5. She was VERY explicit about arriving AFTER FIVE! Traffic was really slow during a rainy rush hour and I couldnt find any place to park since its dinner time on Park Ave so i had to circle the block. When I walked up to the door at 5:32 they were

They make my cat’s chewable steroid prescription and I wouldn’t go anywhere else! It’s always ready within a few days and they have been flexible with me in the case of an emergency. The pharmacist even called me back promptly when I had a concern regarding storage of the medication. And best of all, my cat just loves the flavor and thinks her medicine is a treat. It’s at a beautiful and convenient location, too, so picking up her meds isn’t a chore at all. We enjoy the trip and often take advantage of it to poke around the nearby shops and eateries.

So far my experience getting my dog's mediation with Taylor's has been challenging. They have an easy online form to fill out for refills, but it doesn't seem to work properly. Getting a hold of them via telephone has also been difficult as calling and leaving messages gets you no reply. I finally had to reach out to my vet for assistance getting my refill after 2 weeks of trying with Taylor's directly. After my vet got involved I saw the charge hit my credit card within 12 hours.

This pharmacy is just wonderful. I don't understand the negative reviews. The staff answer the phone quickly and are very pleasant and helpful. Keep in mind it's a small business so may not always be able to respond like a larger one that has a greater number of employees.
My kittie gets compounded meds and they are always ready so quickly within a couple days depending on the Rx.

Would not recommend taylor’s pharmacy.
In just a few months they’ve messed up my order twice.
First time they confirmed delivery and they didn’t show up or call me.
Yesterday I needed a prescription ASAP but needed a refill called in. I called my vet twice and they called me back to confirm the refill was called in. Taylor’s then Denys getting it. I call my vet (kind of aggravated) and two vets and the tech each tell me they witnessed the refill being called in. My vet then calls taylor’s and they say “we never received a message”

I am prescribed one sleeping medication and am usually given the same generic version of it. when I called it in to Taylor's a few weeks ago I still had some left from the bottle I got while I was still home in Texas and it wasn't until yesterday that I started the new bottle. Taylor's Pharmacy is my veterinarians pharmacy of choice. I used them for many years when my dog was diagnosed with a life long condition that required daily medicine. Recently another dog in my care was diagnosed with a condition that requires the same type of treatment.
Like all other pharmacies the doctor calls in the prescription and a day or so later Taylors gives you a call. On this phone call they explain their policies and take payment. The prescription is immediately mailed to your home. When you are about a week out for a refill you call them with payment and start the process

My Dog was rushed to the Doctor because she started having seizures out of nowhere. She spent the entire day at the vet and the prescription was sent to this place. They said it would take about 24 hours to get it ready. This medicine is what stops seizure when they occur and I don't know if anyone has witness this but it is horrible. It has been 1 Week and they just called my wife saying that the medicine is ready. We did not receive 1 call during this entire time to let us know what was going on. Horrible customer service with no sense of urgency towards health.

I wish I can switch pharmacist but unfortunately this is the only one that offers compounded medication for what my pet needs. There has been several instances let me emphasize SEVERAL instances where the medication that was sent or labeled was incorrect and it is very alarming to think that they also deal with medications for people.
I highly recommend finding other another pharmacy it is just not worth risking their lack of quality control to your health or the health of any living being

Had a major problem with them and was met with a very rude and unhelpful staff: my dog needs daily medication. I made my order online and never heard back from them. When I called a few days later I was told my vet never approved the refill (they never called me to let me know ) and it would take more 2-3 days for the medication to be delivered after the approval. I called the vet and they had approved the refill 4 days before. My vet called them and after that suddenly I got a same day pick up, had to drive 20 miles to get it. I’m baffled with the irresponsible customer service and staff attitude

It is so refreshing to see a business establishment like this. When you walk in, you feel the small business caring vibe without even speaking to someone. It is very clean. The service from the attendant at the first desk is welcoming.
Dropping off the script, the young lady went out of her way to verify exactly when the script would be ready; she listened to my story about not being able to get the medication in other places and there was already a delay in getting my pup his heart failure medications. I have had repeated problems with this pharmacy. There is a problem almost every time I call to have a refill made. Last month, I physically brought in 3 paper prescriptions from my doctor for them to have on file. First refill, Gabi, completely dropped the ball. Having had problems with them on the last refill, I called a week in advance to fill my 2nd prescription. She sad she would have to get approval from my doctor. They have caused me to be symptomatic without my meds they denied. I have severe anxiety, stress, and depression from my symptoms. My emotional break down from their repeated negligence with my Medicines will put me in the Emergency Room encurring costs I cannot afford. I have 2 prescriptions issued with refills valid until June 2018 and 2 new scripts valid for another 6 refills.

So, I am writing this review after I gave them a second chance. The first issue I came across was the door being locked at 5:28 p.m. They close at 5:30. The hours are not convenient for anyone that has a job. The second issue is how long they leave a customer on hold. Today was 13 minutes before someone attempted to speak with me. Notice I did not say, "help."
I was told that the medication that i needed within 48 hours would not be available until Tuesday. When I explained that I needed it sooner, the response was the same, this time with a laugh. Unbelievable.

I couldn't be more disappointed. If you can go somewhere else, I suggest you do. If you have to use them, call and triple check everything. Their customer service and process is horrible. They told me the wrong thing countless times. Promised to have things done and then it would be delayed a week and I would be out of my medication. It was needlessly stressful and frustrating. Don't rely on what one person says. Call back and ask again. The mistakes are endless and they never do anything to rectify it or make up for it.
