Dr. Jordan Alter is a graduate of New York University. He has been practicing in Bayonne since 1990 and is a member of the American Dental Association. Dr. Alter has received additional training in implant placement, Invisalign, and laser dentistry. I am always highly satisfied with Doctor Alter's professionalism and love that new technology is is used to create my beautiful smile. He listens to me when I express my smile goals and is honest about what is achievable...so far all our goals have been met and I often leave his office pain-free...His hygienist staff is also very professional and welcoming. They "remember" you so I never feel like its my first visit. Make an appointment with Beverly..she is wonderful 👏 ❤

Dr Alter has been my family dentist for many years. I have recommended him to many family and friends.
He does awesome work, while making you feel at ease. His equipment is modern, the office is clean and he does staff two great hygienists.
He is so good that we moved away 18 years ago and still drive an hour for our appointments.

Haven’t been to the dentist for over 3 years. I’m always fearful of going. Kathleen did a phenomenal job on cleaning and showing me how to floss properly. The whole entire staff are amazing, they’re always on time and very knowledgeable. I recommend beautiful smiles to anyone that’s looking for reliable and fair dentist

I’m very fearful of any dental procedure, including cleanings. Dr. Alter is so kind and gentle. It was a pleasant root canal….honestly!! And quick, but handled with precision and care. I’ve been to many other dentists in town. This is the ONLY one I’ll take myself, my husband and my kids to! Thank you Dr. Alter and your kind, funny and personable staff. I love dr. Alter and while recommending him to a friend I looked up his yelp rating. Yelp has hidden 11 five star reviews for him. Not sure I understand, but I'll add my 2 cents.
I have been a patient more than 10 years and love that he has the same staff he had when I started! Beverly is sweet and funny, and Maria treats you like family. Dr alter has Sunday hours in the early morning, and that's so convenient for kids who play sports.
Dr alter is really gentle and caring and checks on your comfort throughout your procedure. I have had no issues with his work, which include 2 implants

Me and my wife have used Dr. Alter's services a couple of times, so I believe I am writing an informed review.
First the good, Mr. Alter performed a root canal and some other services on my teeth and I never had any problems. He seems knowledgeable of his profession. He takes time to read his patient's files. The office is clean, the equipment is decent.
Now the not so good. He told my wife that she had three cavities, skeptical of his claims, she went to a different doctor who said that she didn't have any that need to be filled. Same thing happened to me when the doctor showed

You have no idea how happy I am to see this dentist listed on yelp because people need to know the truth about this guy. To put it simply, Dr. Alter is the perfect example of how a thief doesn't always need a gun and ski mask to rob people.
My girlfriend has been his patient for about 10 years now. A few years back I had a terrible toothache and had no where else to go but to Dr. Alter....big mistake. He started a root canal on me and I was in the chair literally 20 minutes and he was done. I never went back because he has the WORST times for scheduling...like HELLO, some of us have jobs
