Don's Family Style Buffet

In 1989, my grandpa Donald Spicer opened the doors to Don's Cafe in Moberly, MO. He was a man that was connected to the Moberly community; and quickly built a successful business. During his 7 years in business, I was fortunate enough to be able to work alongside him on weekends and during my summer breaks.

I learned a lot about customer service, running a successful business and most importantly- being able to spend time with a man I admire. In 1996, he sold the business and I graduated from high school and went into the construction industry. However, I had always dreamed of owning a restaurant. I decided to take a chance and turn my of owning a restaurant into a reality.
