Services
Maverick started in 2003 in the aerobics room of a local fitness gym. What started out as fitness boxing classes for a few people quickly transformed into a small, dedicated group of students who were interested in learning Boxing, Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. At this time Suzanne was training with Richard Bustillo and Helio Soneca, and bringing them both down to Huntsville to teach seminars in their respective arts.

Very shady business ethics. I tried to pay for one month worth with cash in hand but was told it must be with a card. I let them charge my card after telling the owner I wanted to try it for one month. I stopped going halfway through the month and the start of the next month I noticed my card was charged again. This was an unauthorized charge. I sent the owner an email restating I had only wanted to try it for a month, and kindly asked them to remove the charge, to which they said I needed to have canceled a month in advance. When signing up I had made it clear I only wanted to go for one month

I'm on my third month here and I dig it.
I did Crossfit for three years and stopped after watching all the injuries around me and becoming disenchanted with the programming and propensity for overtraining.
After moving to Huntsville, I decided I wanted to try bjj. I've had a friend encouraging me to do it for years. I'm glad I finally listened!
It's a great workout. I've lost some of the extra weight I've packed on, and am looking forward to being ripped again!

The owner maintains a welcoming family friendly atmosphere. The instruction I have received has been top notch. As a martial arts enthusiast (not expert) I train as often as time/money allow and have studied at schools in Cleveland OH, Baltimore MD, Cocoa FL and now Huntsville. I guarantee Maverick Training Center will help you get the most out of the effort you put in. The best endorsement I can think to give is that not only have I enrolled myself but my daughter as well.

My child and I have been training at Maverick for 7 months. I have trained with other studios in the area and no other offers the amount of classes per week for the price point as Maverick. If my schedule permitted I could train BJJ 11 times a week. That doesn't include the two intermediate classes offered to blue belts and higher. That is a lot of training and the students that take advantage of it improve a lot faster than those who cannot. It is not the traditional bow to the teacher environment but it also isn't full of meat heads trying to hurt their training partner. I haven't been this fit
