We recently bought a house and decided to replace carpet on the second floor with hardwood. Knowing little about hardwood flooring, we didn’t start looking for materials and contractors until we got the keys to our new home. Lucky we met Jenny. She helped us find the hardwood that matches the stairs and the existing hardwood on the first floor and introduced a very experienced contractor Mr. Mai (he is a real master!) to us. I was searching hard wood floor on market and visited 5/6 stores at different location around the Bay Area.
I was happy to find Oscar Hardwood Floor--Jenny explained all details on different option and she brought samples to my home at Dublin to demo the color and suggested cherry wood for my house.
Their service are excellent and price was reasonable, the wood was good!

I bought a house in Palo Alto that already had hardwood installed on the first floor. The stair was still carpet and I wanted to change it to hardwood. I went to many stores to find hardwood that had the same color as the floor and had the correct size. I was able to find a suitable wood at Oscar Hardwood Floor. I brought around 2100 sq ft Brazilian cherry hardwood floor from Oscar on November, 2018. Jenny, the owner, was very helpful to share the tips of hardwood floor installation and maintenance. The price is very reasonable with the best quality of hardwood floor. Even though the salesman of porcelanosa was impressed the quality of the hardwood floor when I was choosing the tiles.

I bought 1800 square feet of Brazilian Walnut - Lapacho from them. I was impressed by the quality of the wood. They had a large selection of wood to choose from and I was able to see a sample of each type. Oscar Hardwood Flooring is a warehouse with all the stock inside, so I was able to contact my contractor and have it picked up on the same day.

There was already existing hardwood floor in the living room/hall way and Jenny was able to help us find a close match. Compared to other quotes we received, her cost was lower not because her material is cheaply made (she showed us they only use 3/4" thick wood), but she measured how much square footage of material

When I first visited Oscar, I was a but worried because the show room was small. But in the end I had a wonderful experience with Oscar Hardwood Floor, Jenny, and the contractor they referred. Jenny worked with me to identified the best wood for my budget. The contractor she referred was careful and did a great job. With all manual job, there will be some imperfections, but all and all they were wonderful. I highly recommend Oscar Hardwood and Jenny.

This place is awesome! The selections of hardwood varies so much. The owner, Jenny, helped me and gave me all the information I need to know. At the beginning, I was afraid to buy it because there was claims from other buyers that their "hardwood excert choking bad smell for months and it never goes away" and the wood itself have multiple dents, low quality wood, and creaking sound. I have younger children in the house, who is highly sensitive, it is important for me to not have that in my house. Also, I don't want to spend tons of money on low quailty wood. JJ and Jenny possessed unbelievable sales tactics. I was tricked into buying their product for 2 reasons:
1. They put up a little exhibition inside their store to show case how bad their competitor's products are
2. They have cozy relationship with cheap contractors who would say a lot of nice things about them. However, if you bring a real expert, she/he will tell you that Oscar's products are far less than what JJ and Jenny claim, especially in comparison with reputable manufacturer's products.
The products are of very very very low quality:
1. They cracked easily and badly.
2. The paint

After asked the owner and discovered... Oscar hardwood floor has it own factories to manufacture its own hardwood products. That is why their products are top quality.
The owner control the production quality well.
They are not middle man/venders.
