Founded in 2011, Kinky Peaches was created by Monique Boea due to the overwhelming response from her own natural transition. I get stopped almost every day by women who either want to go natural or want to know more about caring for & styling natural hair. I would tell the ladies who stopped me what I use on my hair and some would come back and say "That didn't work for me".
I didn't want to just direct them to YouTube, so I created Kinky Peaches as a reference for women who need help in making the natural transition and who need help in maintaining healthy natural hair. Kinky Peaches focuses on "organic natural hair care" - No chemicals and no heat.

Services
This service is mainly for clients with a looser curl pattern but any hair type can book the service. Your natural curls are defined to create a curly Afro-type style. The finished look will vary depending on your hair type. NOTE: if you have have heat damage or have not fully transitioned, this service is not recommended.

The WORST PLACE! Beware, my mixed Chics.. went in for a twist out or a curl defining style as advertised an the website, paid extra for a deep oil condition. The wash was fin . The style was horrible. ALL that was done was sectioning my hair, put some curl activator on and ECCO styling gel... for that I was charged 45.00. I even left with wet hair! SHE didn't defuse it, or put me under the dryer, nothing! She watched TV the whole time I was there! I WILL NEVER GO BACK! THE only thing I learned was to use gel.. nothing was different, great or outstanding! Waiste of time and money !

What a waiste of time. I have mixed textured hair, naturally curly.. I was looking forward to this appointment to have curl definition and a style. I booked online and paid extra for deep conditioning. The style was horrible! She just put gel in my hair and called that a style.. she didn't even try to define the curl or enhance it. What mean by that, she saw that it wasn't curling, she didn't offer to use straws, rods, twist up....nothing.. not even a defuser or dryer was used, i was told the service was over with wet gel drenched hair! 45.00 later, I learned NEVER TO GO here again

I thoroughly enjoyed my appointment at Kinky Peaches. The atmosphere and the salon was very very professional. Most of all I loved my hair!!! I came away knowing that my natural hair had truly been cared for. Monique was my stylist and she did an excellent job. I will be recommending Kinky Peaches to everyone that I know who needs a true professional to care for their natural hair. A++++

I went to Kinky Peaches for a big chop during the summer because I wanted something different. Serriah did my big chop and after she finished my hair it looked great! she was able to see my curls defined and it appeared beautiful
However, after a week later i noticed that my "big chop" wasnt necessarily the healthiest cut. All ofmy curls dont curl in small areas and some ends are frayed where it looks as though they weren't cut properly. I dont feel comfortable with the level of service I've received and even after contacting them via text, which is is their preferred method

I was able to use my Groupon voucher! It was a long wait but well worth the wait. My stylist was so gentle in caring for my hair. Mimimal hair loss!! She was better at detangling my hair than me, no tugging, pulling, ripped hair.... I am nervous to allow hair stylists touch my hair because so many of them are so rough but not here. I got a perm rod set and it turned out perfectly! All of my questions were answered patiently and knowledgeably. Great conversationalist! I cant wait to go back! The only downside was the lack of abundant parking :-(

Your comment just proves my point that you do not take accountability for your actions and can't admit that you made a mistake in not showing up for a confirmed appt. My review is absolutely honest but it looks like you are one that can't handle the truth. We both know that the appointment was confirmed before you sent any texts the same day of the appt. If this was brought to court you would look like a fool because I have written documentation that the appointment was confirmed and was never cancelled. You made the decision not to show up or call.
