For adolescents, many issues can be addressed without an internal exam, including most types of birth control. We are, however, particularly skilled with first-time gynecology exams for young women. Beyond specific clinical needs, adolescents have unique developmental needs that we consider in their care. While we welcome adult or parental support for our younger patients, we always address the need for privacy and autonomy during visits.

Dominion HealthCare Services was founded by Angela Awuah in 2015. A family nurse practitioner with over 14 years of experience as a Registered Nurse and 4 years as a Nurse Practitioner. She worked in step down unit but got frustrated when she couldn't do more for the patients with the amount of knowledge she had.
In light of the on-going battle with healthcare costs, this family wellness center was created by family nurse practitioner to provide affordable care to those who need it most.
