I am an only child to first generation American parents. I grew up in Brooklyn, NY, and was exposed to many diverse cultures at a young age. When I was 8 years old, my folks gifted me my first (of numerous) cameras. It was at this time I realized taking pictures is a lot of fun. High School was where I really discovered my passion for photography, and I have been making images ever since!
In 1997, I received a certificate of merit from the State Assembly honoring my photographic work at the prestigious New York Summer School of Media Arts. In 2000, I graduated from The School of Visual Arts in New York City, and obtained my B.F.A. in photography. After graduating college, I started my career working for several wedding and portrait studios.
