Horn Builders was started by Chuck Horn in 1999 with the philosophy of building strong client relationships by creating projects with extraordinary quality and service. When Horn Builders was formed, Chuck had already worked in the building industry for over 10 years and had graduated from the University of North Florida with a Bachelors degree in Construction Management.
Drawing on experience in hands-on field techniques, commercial buildings, high-end remodeling and planned community new home construction, he decided to start a company that focused on one-of-a-kind projects that offered the opportunity for creative challenges as well as for exceeding customer expectations.

I have had the pleasure of working with Horn Builders on numerous projects at my homes in Jacksonville over the last 16 years. At my first home that Horn did not build, Chuck and his first class team had to replace an entire wall of my home that Arvida has built below specification. Chuck Horn came to my home, analyzed the problem and literally removed a side of my home while my family continued living in the home undisturbed. Chuck got all the required permits and that was likely the one wall of my home I could count on. When my family moved to our next home, Horn Builders oversaw the construction

Remodeling at it's lowest !!! After multiple pre-construction meetings! We were nickel and dimed to death over what Chuck labeled as "change orders ".... a fairly lucrative BONUS for Chuck in my opinion to support his million dollar life !!! We specifically requested a "high end" front entrance door and we were so unhappy with His idea of high end.... WE purchased the door ourselves !! We spent $5000 ....Chuck gave us a $700 credit which is a door equivalent ANYONE can purchase from Home Depot !!! Expensive lesson learned !! Chuck uses a lot of unqualified SUB
