After more than 30 years of serving a dedicated customer base in Simsbury, Linda Weiss-Gelineau opened her own salon at 926 Hopmeadow Street in the Simsbury Town Shops. Linda was a dedicated, talented professional who continued to keep a smile on her face, even through cancer treatments. Linda tragically lost her battle in 2015, but her spirit lives on in her salon.
The L Designs team of professionally certified stylists have made it their goal to keep L Designs running with the same love and passion that Linda had. They continue to work together to make sure all your hair needs are addressed - they truly believe that "Love is in the hair."

I love L Designs. Everyone in there is so nice and kind - and everyone greets you when you come in - not just the stylist you see. I am so happy with my stylist also - she helps me feel great and has even researched different products and techniques to fit my finicky hair issues. Love it here! Highly recommend!

L Designs is a fantastic salon! The salon itself is decorated nicely and hair styling options are affordable. The ladies are welcoming and always kind and engaging in conversation. I especially love Nicole, who has done my hair for years. She's versatile and knowledgable in hair design and able to easily adapt to any style changes that I request. I highly recommend calling for an appointment at L Design.

Each time I get my haircut with Danielle, I come away feeling bright and refreshed. My hair is incredibly curly. Often when I visit, she cuts and straightens it, and it’s amazing and lasts for days. I tell my friends she’s a wizard ✨ I moved further away from Simsbury a few years but I still go to see Danielle, and it’s worth it every time.

I have been getting my cuts from Abby for the last three times. She listens well and truly seeks to meet my expectations. I am reluctant to change much, so we are working to find just the right style. She continues to listen and learn and is passionate about her craft. Way to go Abby, never stop learning.

I have been working with Linda since she was at Michell's and then opened her own salon. Even after Linda was gone suddenly the other stylists picked up immediately and moved on with great hair attention to customers. During my 15 years of being here it has always been a wonderful experience and always done with the utmost of attention given to what needed to be done. Linda you will always be missed but you gave a great legacy here which carries on.

This place was wonderful! The customer service was all-around spectacular by everyone working there. It was the perfect place for our bridal party to get our hair done before my sister's wedding. They did everyone's hair and make-up beautifully and made it a fun and lively experience with music and drinks. They were also so sweet to my sister and made her feel very special on her big day. Getting our make-up done was a great call because it was actually very relaxing. We could not have been more pleased. I wish I lived in CT so I could keep going back to this place!!
