Each member of our treatment team is a registered assistant, and our office staff has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care.

I love Lucas orthodontics for plenty of reasons, but the biggest reason why it is so comfortable is because Dr. Lucas does a great job explaining the treatment and all of the steps that are necessary to achieve a better smile. Dr. Lucas is also very friendly with all patients who come to see him. As a single adult with a customer-facing job, the prospects of needing braces can be demoralizing.
We are always excited about meeting new patients during their first visit to our office. We want to help you achieve the most beautiful smile you could have ever imagined! This 40 minute initial visit will allow us to study your teeth with the use of photographs, digital radiographs, and digital models (no more yucky impressions).
The cost varies with each patient, depending upon what treatment involves. Financial arrangements are determined before treatment is initiated and we offer payment plans to make your treatment more affordable. If full payment is made at the onset of treatment, we will offer a fee discount. There will be a fee reduction when more than one family member is in treatment.

My two siblings and I have had great experiences with braces over the years with Lucas Orthodontics. I recently lost my retainers and Dr. Lucas’ staff arranged for me to come in within a few days. The office is very efficient and they use state of the art technology. The payment system is user friendly. As such, I would recommend Lucas Orthodontics to anyone needing dental corrections.

I have been a patient for over 20 years and have had nothing but an outstanding experience every visit. Dr. Lucas and all his orthodontist assistants are incredible and always make you feel comfortable no matter what you are coming in for. I now live in farther away and they are always super accommodating with my schedule and I will travel whatever distance as long as I am in Dr. Lucas’s hands! Loved Lucas orthodontics and staff! Everyone is super friendly and the environment is just so kid friendly my toddler loved coming to the office with me!! Had my adult braces done at age 32 and couldn't be happier with the results! Got the clear ones on top and people could hardly tell I had them! Loved the end results of my daughters smile , BUT disappointed that she wasn't given the permanent retainer for her bottom teeth. I know it was discussed and was either emailed or written down. Having a hard time finding the contract and they want to charge almost $400 for one!!! I think that's so wrong!

Adult orthodontia......Can't say enough good things about Dr. Lucas and his staff. I had braces in 1974 and found myself in 2016 needing to straighten the drift that occurred over the last 42 years. My dentist recommended Dr. Lucas because he's not only great with kids but he's very skilled working on adults. I'm almost 60 years old and I've had crowns etc over the years. I was leery about putting pressure on crowned teeth, impressions etc. Dr. Lucas was amazing and made me very comfortable. So friendly, very sincere, caring, remembers me from visit to visit etc

If I could give 100 stars for Dr. Lucas and his team, I would. Every person in this office is caring, conscientious and professional, including Dr. Lucas himself. I was referred to him after a very unfortunate situation with my daughter's orthodontic treatment by a dentist. They have gone above and beyond to help us understand our options and get her the fastest, most effective treatment possible.

I was referred to Dr. Kevin Lucas by Brian Hicks, DDS in Buffalo Grove. At 26 years old, you can imagine my horror when I was told I needed braces again (after wearing them for four years in high school). When I first walked into Dr. Lucas' office, I was bitter, cranky, and angry with myself for never wearing my retainers. Dr. Lucas and staff recognize that wearing braces, especially as an adult, is not a pleasant experience, and they strive to achieve high quality results in the shortest amount of time possible.

Everything about Lucas Orthodontics is excellent. This is our second ortho and i wish we had gone to Lucas sooner. Dr. Lucas is caring, honest, enthusiastic and very good at what he does. We are seeing very good results in the time frame promised. The intial consultation is extremely thorough. We came away with a detailed treatment plan, photos and breakdown of cost. When the braces went on we had a consultation during which all aspects of life with braces was explained.
