We strive to serve only the best in Mexican cuisine, contact us today to make a reservation. Since our opening in 2008, Tequila John's has prioritized assisting various area charitable organizations. We currently have ongoing relationships with numerous worthy organizations and institutions, including: The United Way, Waverly High School Band and the American Cancer Society.

The food here puts your typical Mexican restaurant to shame. It is the only Mexican restaurant around here that my husband will eat at!

Horrible service….. we ate their yesterday. They had one cook on a Saturday. One of the ladies yelled at my child. They didn’t have any salsa ready when we got their. Fajitas are very small and expensive. They also tried to charge for things we didn’t receive. And when I wanted to correct it they were rude!

Salsa was all liquid. Steak fajitas were tough and expensive for the small amount received the pepper and onion ratio to meat was 5 to 1. Served in a pan that had visible rust. Service was good however it wasn't enough to make the food worth it.

Food was great! Took 2hrs to get our food. We raked up the bill on drinks. Only one cook in the kitchen. Hopefully that changes for next time.

The last three times we have went there, I have ordered the brisket burrito. If you like some spice, order it with the chipotle cream sauce. I want to try other things, but this is amazing. The staff is always wonderful. I would highly recommend trying them. Don't expect to get in and out quickly, because everything is made to order.

No matter how good the food is in any restaurant, when you wait 1 hour and 15 minutes AFTER you order to receive your food, there is a problem.
Apparently they are grossly understaffed and don't see it as a problem.
Wake up..... it's called CROSS TRAINING. A diswasher can be trained to help the one and only chef. The bartender can help in the dining room where he can now see things are going south.
2 things gave it one star. The brisket tacos were flavorful, although somewhat fatty. The server, yes only one, was efficient and did well while having to listen to complaints from hungry people.
