It all began in a small coal mining town in northeastern Pennsylvania, where the town was divided into small neighborhoods with a church on every other street corner; where we are better known for the Knox Mine Disaster and the Hurricane Flood of Agnes.
Born in this town was our love for the work ethic of our neighbors, the anthracite coal miners, the WW2 veterans, the old railroad workers, and the retirees of Planters Peanuts, Woolworths, the Stegmaier brewery, the Sterling Hotel.As luck would have it, as the two of us worked our way through college, we waited tables for four years to this glorious bunch of early bird specials: spaghetti and meatballs for $2.99.

My husband recently had extensive back surgery and opted for in-home physical therapy. A good friend recommended LightHouse because her sister had great success with her therapist there. John Philippe Beauvois arrived the day we called and quickly established a rapport as well as a professional attitude and concern for the patient's success. His positive attitude was contagious and his hands-on skills resulted in remarkable progress. The biggest surprise was when he walked to our house (and four other patients) two days after the big DC snowstorm because the roads hadn't been plowed

I needed care for my Dad and even though it was on a weekend. They responded immediately and provided us with a caregiver that evening. All the caregivers were very friendly and helpful and the best part was my Dad really enjoyed their company, which surprised me from past experiences. I am very pleased that we now have an option in the future if we need help again.

I just had to terminate the services of Lighthouse Healthcare. They were providing aides to help take care of my 87 year old mother.
The aides were caught more than once sleeping on the hob during the day shift, they were late on many days and the aides kept nagging us to hire them outside of the service.
The final straw came when an aide failed to arrive for her all day shift this past Wednesday. Then, the same evening, the aide arrived more than an hour later.
We were paying them about $10,000 a month for aide services. Imagine the "care" one would get from them if we were a smaller
