Originally opened as a Preschool program, we soon expanded our services to include full day care for Preschoolers and Toddlers. 1985 Purchased the Grafton Children's Center on Old Westboro Road, North Grafton and expanded services to full day Preschoolers and Toddlers.
The Shrewsbury Children's Center is very proud of the programs and offerings that we have developed over the 32 years we have been providing Early Childhood Education and Care. We strive to provide experiences and activities appropriate to each child's current level of development. The children's curriculum and activities are designed to provide a variety of opportunities for learning.
Our daily programs are designed to provide opportunties for a variety of learning experiences each day. Our daily classroom schedule provides time for Free Play, Quiet Activities and Active Exploration. Outdoor Play: Each classroom has 3 opportunities daily to spend active time in our fenced in play areas.
Our enrollment process is designed to help you make this most important decision regarding your child early care and education. We want to provide you with the time to visit the classroom, observe your child in the classroom, and answer any questions that you may have. It is important that you convey to us at the time of your visit what your expectations of our Center are.

We’d been on the waiting list since my son was 1, and finally got admitted into the school when he’s 3. Why this daycare has such a long waiting list and why they got so many good reviews? Because they are FANTASTIC! The staff and teachers are very friendly and professional. Worth waiting!
We had a very bad experience with a daycare in Auburn. My son cried every time at drop off, got sick almost every other week. Immediately after we transferred my son to SCC, he becomes happy and healthy. He only cried at the drop off on the first day, and that’s it! At the end of the first day, he told

My son has been at Shrewsbury Children's Center since for about a year and a half now (since he was 16 months), and overall the experience has been fantastic. Both sets of teachers he's had have been friendly, enthusiastic, and nurturing. Always willing to chat at the end of the day about the silly things he did, or discuss any challenges he was facing. They were extremely accommodating and helpful with his milk allergy, which he has fortunately since outgrown.
Weather-permitting they go outside 3 times a day and have the opportunity to interact with both older and younger children. They have

We have had such a great experience with this center, from infant through pre-school. I am very comfortable with all of the teachers and know my kids are well taken care of and learning a lot. They really enjoy going here and we couldn't be happier.

Our son went to Shrewsbury Children's Center from Infant1 through Kindergarten. My husband and I have always been happy with the love and caring these ladies do for the children. And i do need to say when my son started First grade his teacher were very impressed with his reading skills (he was above reading level). I was always impressed with the curriculum also, each class had their own way of learning through play as well as planned activities.

When we first moved to Worcester we toured about 8 different centers and selected Shrewsbury Children's Center (SCC). So glad that we did! We have a 3.5 year old and 6 month old and are thrilled with the quality of care that our children have received at SCC and with the way that the teachers and management partner with parents. SCC has a friendly, family-centered atmosphere and a high level of professionalism. The teachers always seem calm, collected and ready to engage with the children. I believe this is partly due to the fact that SCC provides teachers with sufficient breaks throughout the
