Let's just start by saying that Locing is "MY THANG". Oh yeah, I'm Fallon Avery. I wanted to create a place for people to come with all hair types and textures. Since opening Essence of Locks we have been able to accomplish all things including cultivating a motley crew for a clientele. We are continuing our education in hair color, cut and style.

Fallon is very professional. She explained the LOC process to me from start to finish, took away my fear and did my hair just like I wanted. She is phenomenal, timely and very professional. I love her. The whole shop is great! Great atmosphere, lots of laughs and just a great environment. I’m glad I’m found her. Go see them today because they are truly a talented bunch of ladies.

Got my hair done twice. First time appt was at 11. Didn’t get started until 11:45 and didn’t leave the shop until almost 4z all I had done was a detox, wash and retwist. On that day my final was $145 for a retwist all because of the new grow..which is cool but I was told $95. The second time I went, I wanted a color and retwist. I was told $65 for color but price could change depending on color. Which is insane but carry on. My total cost ended up being $225 for a color and retwist. Which is beyond ridiculous. I will not be returning as a customer. Not to mention my stylist kept walking off

Showed up for a retwist and rope twists and only received the retwist, and the girl who was retwisting my hair didn't make any conversation or say anything whatsoever and had an attitude my whole visit. She congo'd several of my dreads that were already seperated and now I have to go back through and fix what was messed up. Not worth the time and money.
