He returned to Kendallville where he founded Jansen Family Dentistry in 1981. Dr. Jim is committed to providing his patients with quality dental care that takes into consideration their values and needs. He keeps current with new dental techniques by participating in many continuing education seminars and the Fort Study Club.
A preventive program is a cooperative effort by the patient, dentist, and dental staff to preserve the natural dentition and supporting structures by preventing the onset, progress, and recurrence of dental diseases and conditions. Preventing dental disease starts at home with good oral hygiene and a balanced diet.
A comprehensive dental exam will be performed by your dentist at your initial dental visit. Examination of diagnostic x-rays (radiographs): Essential for detection of decay, tumors, cysts, and bone loss. X-rays also help determine tooth and root positions. Oral cancer screening: Check the face, neck, lips, tongue, throat, tissues, and gums for any signs of oral cancer.

When you want the best care, best staff & best appearance of your smile, then Jansen Family Dentistry is where you need to go! I saw Dr. Jim 33 years ago for the first time. He did my first dentures, which lasted a very long time. My kids have gone there, for their care since the were toddlers, seeing both Jim & Doug. Dr. Doug is currently handling my care, getting new dentures. Talk about being thorough!! WOW! He is making them so they match my old ones, that look like natural, real teeth! Not some fake, horse teeth set like you get at a chain dental business & at half the cost of the chains too
