I feel so lucky to have a bit of space to raise our pig and chickens, grow food, and constantly have a project to work on. I feel so grounded when tending to our little farm. I dream about having some land one day with a big garden and "a couple" of rescue pigs. I am a self proclaimed DIYer and enjoy changing up our little mid century ranch home.

I attend every wedding with YOU in mind: my main focus is to document your day as it unfolds. More than anything, as a professional photographer I make sure you're present for the celebration around you-not away from your guests, taking photos for hours.
I can confidently say Chelsey captured the very essence of our wedding day, as well as our engagement photos! She has an approach and eye for detail that I haven't seen in any other wedding photographer. There are many moving parts to a wedding day and her patience and energy helped to make the day run smoothly.
What do I think of couples or engagement photos? I like to think of the wedding as the cherry on top, but the time, the intention, and the love that went into getting you there deserve to be documented, too! This could be as simple as taking cuddly photos in your first house together or as adventurous as bringing me along to the scenic place where you got engaged.

Chelsey was wonderful to work with for high school senior pictures. We were looking for someone who was open to working in a non-traditional location and with a senior who is happily NB and wanted to reflect that in their senior pictures. The final pictures are fantastic, and working with Chelsey made what could have been a stressful experience into an enjoyable one!

My goodness, was this experience amazing! I have always admired Friends and Lover’s Photography from afar and this was my first in-person session. I wanted to celebrate my 30th birthday with a boudoir shoot and knew this was the perfect occasion to book with Chels.

Hiring Chelsey as our photographer was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Her photographs are stunning and captured the energy and joy of our day so perfectly. I think we looked at our gallery probably five times in a row when we got it. Not only are her photographs beautiful, but she is also so much fun to be around. I don't think she could work harder to make sure she captures everything about the day. I couldn't believe how many different shots she got being just one photographer! Chelsey is amazing! We hired Chelsey for our outdoor, mountain wedding and man did she crush it! Chelsey started out as our backup photographer when our original photographer moved out of state and was unsure about traveling during COVID. Chelsey was extremely responsive and quickly stepped in as our photographer when asked! Chelsey captured amazing pictures indoors and outdoors in, what seemed like, constantly changing lighting with ease. Chelsey is extremely professional, organized, communicative and prompt. We used Friends & Lovers Photography for a photo shoot for our business, Fitwall and we couldn’t be happier with how they turned out! I've worked with a lot of photographers over the years, and Chelsey was a pro and a real dream to work with. She offered lots of fun prompts and direction to get my partner and I to look effortlessly cute together. What could have been really awkward was such a fun experience, we wanted to to it all over again when she was finished--it felt like a fun date! When she came to our house to photograph our family, she made everyone feel comfortable, including our two daughters and two dogs.
