Dr. Pooya Aflatooni has been a resident of Virginia for the last fifteen years. He graduated with suma cum lauda honors from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Science and was inducted to Tau Sigma honor society. Dr. Aflatooni successfully attended dental school at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry VCU School of Dentistry.

I initially came in with no teeth issues, and had a cleaning done. They found a couple cavities, so I had those filled. Tooth #19 was drilled down to the nerve, filled in, and a couple of weeks later I was in immense pain, so much so I had to make an emergency visit. The dentist prescribed me hydro codone & antibiotics, and could not perform a root canal for another week. This already seemed ridiculous as this is an emergency visit, and I needed it done as soon as possible. In that week of waiting, I sought out another dentist, due to forming a tooth abscess during that time. It is too late for

I'm very scared of dentists in general and always try to skip my dental appointments as far as I can. I would recommend this dentist to anyone who desires a healthy mouth, it's embarrassing to say , but I don't think I've ever had my teeth cleaned and I'm 56 years old, so you can imagine I really needed a deep cleaning, the dentist and his staff were very patient and very kind to me, I was treated with respect, the dentist did a very thorough job throughout my whole mouth, and now I feel that I have a healthy mouth, now that I've had the deep cleaning I no longer struggle with bad breath having to use gum to cover the odor, I'm just being very transparent, I would encourage anyone that's out there
