Not good. I contracted them to do an inspection for a house we were in escrow on last October. During the inspection, two people showed up. One of them said they "couldn't fit" under the house to do an inspection of the foundation. The other whispered to me (about the first guy) "I could probably get down there, but I don't want to embarrass him..." Um, ok..
Fast forward to now, when we're a few months into doing construction on the house, and it turns out that the foundation they didn't inspect because they "couldn't fit" has cracks all

Boatwright did a house inspection in Los Angeles for us on a house we were considering buying. They did a very thorough report which led us to have a more in depth inspection of the house foundation (which needed bolting) and the chimney (which needed some repair). We are happy that their initial report caused us to look more closely into these areas, which will ultimately save us money.

My wife and I recently bought our first home and after much research, we hired Boatwright Building Consultants to do our home inspection. From start to finish we had an exceptional experience. Our inspector was already at the home when we got there and had introduced himself to our realtor. He had started on the entire exterior of our home and the grounds - talk about efficient! Upon meeting him, he was extremely thorough in explaining what his process would entail, what he would be looking at and gave a ballpark amount of time it would take for the full inspection. Our inspector took his time

My fiancé and I were in the market for a Home Inspector but hadn't a clue where to begin. The Owner, Don, responded and he spent quality time letting me vent my fears and concerns. Don spent quality time educating me on what to expect when having my home inspected. He also let me know what separated his Home Inspectors, from the norm. I concluded my 1st conversation feeling confident and self assured, a complete 180 degree difference than how I felt at the beginning of my call with Don. I was so impressed with his knowledge, and easy going demeanor, that was just what the doctor ordered

We recently (May 2017) purchased a small beach house in San Clemente. This home was to be a weekend getaway. We were thrilled that our offer was accepted, but actually quite nervous about purchasing an older home. We did not want this place to turn into a money pit. Boatwright Building inspection Services was recommended to us. I wasn't sure if they would travell 66 miles for such a small job, but they did. Their inspector was on time, courteous and thorough. We received our report in a very short time. There were pictures for referencing any items that should be addressed. A summary was also attached

I was looking for a home in a specific area, and we found one which looked very nice. We entered into escrow on the home and asked Boatwright Building Consultants to do an inspection of the home even though it seemed to be in very good condition, and was fairly new.
BBS and their crew found many defects is the home including, plumbing, electrical, and synthetic stucco on the exterior. I'm told that this is a big problem which doesn't allow a home's exterior coating to breath, and can lead to moisture and mold problems. I withdrew from this purchase due to this inspection.

Boatwright has handled inspections for two properties for us. In both cases they completed an extremely thorough report. They now also will check the roof with a drone, which is great since you really shouldn't walk on Spanish tile roofs common here in the South Bay. In our most recent report they caught an area of concern and recommended an engineer come out to follow up. With Boatwright you know you are getting a truly independent inspection, not a company that's simply trying to push through everything quickly for the real estate agents. They work quickly and are able to visit the property within

When looking for a building inspector I would highly recommend Boatwright Building. My inspector was very responsive to all of my questions and absolutely thorough with his reports regarding an income property. Their years of experience and advise proved to be indispensable. This company can provide that for you.

They have been one of the worst companies I've hired since buying my house. I would definitely not recommend them for a home inspection. They were recommended to my agent from the seller's agent (already a red flag I realize). They found multiple items, some I fixed, some minor in my opinion. It is my first home purchase so I was going on faith to some extent. After purchasing the home, I noticed a few other things that they had not noticed. None of them that major so I didn't think much of it. But one of the showers did not have cold water running (I mean you turn on the

Tim Boatwright recently inspected a condo I had made an offer on to purchase. He found things I never noticed or would have looked for. This man knows his work and I highly recommend anyone preparing to buy a home to hire him for your inspection. He is honest and very reliable. You will know exactly what you are getting if you decide to go ahead and purchase the property. In my case I decided against getting the property. Thank you Tim for saving be a huge bundle, and a lot of trouble. You're the best!

I just used Boatwright inspection to inspect a home in century city. My inspectors name was Tim Boatwright. All I have to say is that I could not be more satasfied with the inspection. Worth every penny. They are not cheap, but you get what you pay for. My broker wanted to hire an inspector for 250. The inspectors brokers regularly bring usually give a green light to everything...if they did not then the brokers would not hire them. So I decided to do some research, and hire my own. I could not be happier with the job done. The inspector arrived, and then excused himself as he wanted
