At Stephen's Pain Recovery Center, you're always in good hands with Dr. John M. Stephens. Dr. Stephens has more than 20 years of experience caring for people like you. He began his chiropractic career in an accelerated program in 1989 at Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, MO, and graduated in 1994 with a Doctorate of Chiropractic.

At 15 months postpartum I had been living with pain in my lower back, tailbone, and hips since my second trimester of pregnancy. Dr. Stephens and his team worked tirelessly to determine the cause and source of my pain. Not only does he adjust you, but his team shows you specific stretches and strengthening exercises to rehabilitate the area and prevent the pain from returning. After a few weeks of adjustments and actually committing to the exercises and stretches, I am finally pain-free. The staff are professional and courteous and truly care about your long-term health. 10/10 will continue coming

Every time I go in there for an issue he always helps me for an example I went in there yesterday. I told him I had a stiff neck and wasn’t sure why then he asked if I had fallen or anything I said actually yes three weeks ago I tripped and caught myself and hurt my elbow in my elbow has been hurting ever since then so he fixes my neck which is incredible and he looked at my elbow twisted and pulled it and said it was out of place I didn’t know that was possible.. I can’t thank him enough for helping me when I need help they are amazing!!!

I cannot praise Dr. Stephens and staff highly enough. I went there approx. 8 years ago after I had flipped my car, and they worked wonders.
Most recently, I've been in debilitating pain for the past 11 days; I tried ice, heat, PT, massage, anti-inflammatories, muscle relaxers .. all with no relief. In ONE visit, he was able to recognize the problem and they got my pain from a constant 10, to an intermittent 5-6. He made sure I had realistic expectations about what could be accomplished in my first visit, but immediately got me on the right track to being a functioning human being again.

Dr. Stephens and his staff work well together and all of them take a genuine interest in their patients. I like the fact you can see the doctor, have massage, and receive assistance in appropriate exercises which you can implement to benefit your condition when you are on your own. It is so nice to have all of this available in one location.
Dr. Stephens knows where I am hurting just by looking at me and he knows what to do to help relieve my pains. He also networks well with other skilled practitioners and helps with referrals to other doctors as needed.

Dr. Stephens and his staff are professionals and they add an element of fun that makes you want to come back. This is the first chiropractor that I know who uses more than just adjustments to treat your condition.
