Dr. Shawn Tokunaga is a graduate of Loyola University, one of the best in the country. He has been a dentist for years and has been through several post graduate courses in different fields of dentistry since receiving his DDS degree. Dr. Tokunaga's emphasis on patient comfort as well as keeping up-to-date with the latest advancements in dentistry enable him to provide patients with the best quality of care in the field.

All I have to say is... I actually look forward to my appointments because of this team. They are highly skilled but moreover, they are extremely empathetic, compassionate, and personable. My employer changed our health/dental insurance provider and my current dentist wasn't in the network. My colleague at work told me "I have a cool dentist" and this is how I got to know Dr. Tokunaga. This happened over 20 years ago and I'm in his care since. I thought my previous dentist was good but Dr Tokunaga is in a different category. Very professional, caring, no pain while in his chair. His dental work quality is outstanding and most of all he is honest. I've recommended him to everyone. I go to his office every 6 months for cleaning (BTW Irys does a beautiful job too). Dr Tokunaga is the best dentist my family and I have ever gone to. He is a perfectionist and this applies to his entire staff as well. I will not name my former dentist but all he did was clean my teeth for 20 years so I should have realized earlier that I needed to switch to someone progressive and forward thinking and was lucky to find Dr T via my kid's ortho. He is wonderful and I am glad I found his practice.

Dr. Shawn Tokunaga is the best dentist I have ever gone to. He is very knowledgeable, experienced, friendly and caring. He is using the latest techniques and equipment and he really cares about your teeth! He explained my dental issues in a great detail, walked me through the treatment plan and did outstanding job fixing my teeth! He and his entire team (hygienist Iris, Simona and others) are top notch professionals. They all are perfectionists and it shines through from the moment you walk into their office. Very clean facility, great and friendly service.. The dental assistant Simona gave me amazing service , very friendly and made my visit very comfortable..
I can honestly say that this is the best dentist office I've ever been to. It all starts with their amazing staff!! They are very nice and very attentive they make sure they make you feel comfortable. Not only that but they are the only office that scheduled me in such short notice when I was in a bunch of pain . The quality of service is above and beyond and if I could rate them 20 Stars

A close friend had recommended Dr Tokunaga to me 7 years ago, and I am so happy they did.
My first visit Dr. Tokunaga too photos of my teeth and walked me through everything on the next visit. Very detailed and helpful. He is great at presenting options, offering his recommendation and letting you make the decision.
The hygienist team is awesome.

From the start- you are given a plan, and there's a clear road and pathway laid out for you, one that you feel confident will help you lead a healthier existence.
His staff is friendly and easy to coordinate with The dentist and hygienist are thorough, quick, and [most importantly] have the most updated equipment making exams much less uncomfortable
I'm always all smiles after leaving Office. Favorite dentist ever.
