If you have been arrested, or otherwise charged with a crime, one of the most important decisions you will have to make is hiring a lawyer. You need to make sure the person that you hire can best represent you. How will you make that decision? Talk to friends and family? Talk to someone you know who has been through the process?

Take a referral from a bail/bond agent? Or will you take all of that information and search out someone who has years of local experience and has received the highest rating from national peer review organizations?
Services
Since graduating from the University of Idaho Law School in 1983, Brian Elkins has established himself as a statewide authority on the intricacies of DUI law. Brian has been practicing law in the Hailey/Ketchum/Sun Valley, Idaho area since 1985. When he first came to Blaine County after graduating from law school, he law clerked for the Honorable Doug Kramer at the Blaine County District Court.
If you have been charged with a DUI, time is of the essence and usually you will need to request a hearing within seven days from the incident. You will need the assistance of a lawyer to guide you through the process.

Contact my firm for information on what you will need to do for appearing at an arraignment, requesting a hearing with the court on an alleged refusal to submit to testing or request a hearing before the Idaho Transportation Department for taking and failing a breath or blood test.
Mr. Elkins handles all other criminal cases. Mr. Elkins has had felony jury trials on drug delivery and trafficking, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, arson, and first degree murder cases.
