We strive to create a school that embraces the natural curiosity and wonder of children by crafting a prepared environment, both inside and outside of the classroom. The children explore within this prepared environment, which is specifically designed to engage and support developmentally appropriate growth.
Our classrooms are mixed-age, with children as young as 3 years of age watching the more complex and abstract lessons of 6 year old students. The older children serve as role models and leaders. We stress to the children that we are all teachers to one another!

Observing the children to become aware of their needs and then providing work and challenges for them. In a Montessori classroom, there is no front of the room and no teacher's desk as a focal point of attention. Stimulation from learning comes from the total environment. Dr. Montessori always referred to the teacher as a "guide" because her role differs considerably from that of a traditional instructor.
My son has been at Marimont since he was 2 1/2 years old; he's almost 6 now, and we have absolutely loved the school. He learns things he would likely not be exposed to elsewhere, and all the teachers adore the children and give them all the attention, affection, and guidance they need to grow as little individuals!
Marimont Montessori Preschool was established in Pflugerville, Texas, in the fall of 1996. We are located at 801 FM 685. Marimont is situated on a beautiful campus with an enormous playscape shaded by large oak and pecan trees. Our playground area, unlike the classroom, is separated by age to allow a fun and safe outdoor experience for the children.

Sending our daughter to Marimont was one of the best parenting choices that we have made. My daughter has since moved on to public school, but she still brings up how much she misses her Marimont family. For the directors, Rachel and James, running this school is a labor of love. Rachel has such a warm and calm nature that the kids are drawn to her. James works tirelessly at maintaining the facilities.
We were lucky enough to be assigned Ms. Taqueria as a teacher. It is obvious that Ms. Taqueria loves her students by the way she interacts with them when no one is watching. She is so attentive

We adore MMS. Ms. Abigail is a gem--our daughter absolutely loves her. Their teaching methods revolve around respect and learning to be good friends to one another (as well as to the Earth--they're big into recycling and caring for the world around us). The classes are diverse, and the older kids find a great sense of pride in being able to teach the younger kiddos the ropes. Their play area is fantastic--it's huge and lies below huge oak shade trees. I'd give them 6 stars if I could.
