I have been in the hair industry for many years and am driven by keeping current with the latest techniques and styles in our field. I have clients with wavy, curly hair and have been searching for years to find a technique to tame frizzy, curly hair. When I came across the Ouidad technique I realized I found the answer to the unwanted pyramid look and the unwanted frizz!

I’ve had a lot of good hair dressers over the years but after just one time seeing Lisa, I can say that none of them come even close to her. The cut and color were both amazing. As a person with a lot of very curly hair, before coming here I had never left a salon liking the way they styled my hair. However, with Lisa I adored the way she styled my hair and have been replicating it at home. She is a wealth of knowledge about curly hair and introduced me to my now favorite ouidad hair products.

I have naturally wavy hair that can be bushy and frizzy. I read about Ouidad cuts and thought I would try one. Found a salon in Seattle that does Ouidad. The stylist had a snobbish attitude and the cut, while nice at first, didn’t hold up after a month. For some reason I decided to try again and discovered that the only other Ouidad stylist is Lisa at Studio Trends in Issaquah. Went to her. YES!!! First cut lasted 4 months and I was still getting compliments. Second cut looks good every day, styled or not. I am willing to drive to Issaquah from Seattle for this haircut. Tip: definitely use the

Lisa is wonderful! I had never had a Ouidad style haircut before so I wasn’t sure what I was getting in to - however let me tell you the results speak for themselves. Lisa is so generous with her time and knowledge making sure to educate on why she cuts and styles in a certain way. I love my hair - and my curls definitely lasted to the second day. If you are struggling with your curly hair definitely give her a try!

Lisa is amazing! Brought my 13 year old daughter here for a Ouidad haircut and we had a magical transformative experience. First, nice location with convenient parking. It took a little over 1.5 hours and it is not a cheap haircut, but for the first time since her hair went curly, my daughter actually loves her hair. Time and money well spent!

I first came here because I had many recommendations from friends. Lisa is AMAZING!!!!
My hair can be very hard to manage and frizzy. I go in to get my hair cut and highlighted. I've never had a bad experience! She always cuts my hair perfectly and does everything I ask. I haven't gone anywhere else since. I highly recommend her for any hair service and great conversation.

I cannot recommend Studio Trend Hair Design for curly hair. I gave them a fair shot of several visits, but will not go back. They favor template cuts rather than personalized shaping -- including straight lines and square corners, which are just really bad components for curly hair. They also do not understand the porosity of curly hair. My hair color, which was supposed to be very minimal streaks of color, came out unnatural, unflattering, all-over, saturated black.

Wow! What a delight! Stephanie is an amazing stylist! She was in my hometown visiting a mutual friend, so I decided to get my hair done by her per our friend's recommendation. She made me feel so comfortable and like I could trust her completely. She's so talented! I gave her permission to do whatever she wanted, so she colored my hair and gave me a great cut that is very flattering and easy to maintain. My hair feels amazing! Lisa was fabulous! Although unsure about my request, she did it anyway & it turned out great! Many stylists don't know how to deal with thick, wavy hair, not to mention on a head with a billion (kidding) cowlicks. Many have effed it up so I've kept it very long for years. After reading the reviews, I decided this was the place that could handle the job and to chop my mop!

As an East coast transplant, I am no stranger to New York salons in my quest for the perfect cut and color. Since my move to Issaquah three years ago, I have been searching for that special someone who could handle my wavy/curly hair and color. Lisa at Studio Trends is simply amazing.

So I call this place couple of times, they don't pick up. I make the effort to go to their place and say that I'm looking for hair color and hair cut, they tell me to call them. I mention that no one picked up, can you help me book an appointment now. They say call them. How snobbish and rude. Very disappointed with the attitude.

Lisa is the best!! She specializes in curly hair and does an amazing job! I don't trust anyone else with my curly hair. She also is great with color! She always gives me tons of tips to help with styling and has all the products you need for you hair right there in her studio! She specializes in Ouidad too and it's a great product for curly hair, especially in all the rain!
