My husband I were planning to stay there so I called to ask a couple of questions. They have a posting on Air B&B but it didn't list the bed size. When I called the man who answered the phone was absolutely one of the rudest people! He didn't identify the hotel just asked what I wanted. When I mentioned the ad he got very hostile and said that he would not accept a booking from Air B&B. I told him he still has an active ad there. He said I could call Air B&B because he wasn't going to fight with them anymore. Umm ok but it's not my listing. I asked if I could make

I booked this hotel online. Paid for it. Have my receipt in email. The property is locked both front & back. There is a man standing inside the hotel looking at me but he will not unlock the door or answer the phone. If you don't want the hassle of having your money stolen by thieves who won't unlock the door, don't book here.

Historic hotel walking distance to shops & restaurants.very clean. Mattress was on the soft & lumpy side. Hot water in shower takes 5 minutes to get hot. The curtains in the bathroom are sheer & see through & there is no way to cover the window. If you stay on a weekend, there may be live music until 10pm.

We stay here every time we are in town! Absolutely love this historic yet trendy spot! Rooms are beautiful and the Twisted Chopstick is a delicious restaurant (order there almost every day of our stays). Their new whiskey bar is a blast and the live music nights are so much fun. I love looking through the shops while I’m there as well. The owner and entire staff are awesome. Everything is walkable from this spot.

The owner along with all the staff were accommodating. Roger the front desk Navy veteran sat and we shared foreign living experiences as well as living in Texas. I’m so honored by his service as my nephew serviced the the Army in Iraq and was Killed in Action a month before his 21st birthday.
Collin and Matt in the bar went above beyond to be HELPFUL, friendly, hold conversations.
Would stay here in in a heartbeat!

This old hotel has been converted into several different shops, restaurants and a bar. Great outdoor seating area with live music the night we were there. The only cons to this place is the lack of parking and signage is hard to see at night. We ate at the sushi restaurant which was good and had excellent service.

Room was clean and staff was very accommodating. The pillows could have been more comfy, and I wish there was a mini fridge, but overall I really enjoyed my stay! The bar downstairs was amazing and I would go here just for that! Excellent drinks and friendly service. The vibe was very homey, like visiting grandma's house instead of a hotel. Will stay again!

This was my second time staying here, and I will return again next time I visit Florida! My first stay I was traveling alone for a needed get away and the staff was so friendly that I felt like family. Also there was coffee every morning and free beer and wine in the evenings! Owner suggested I visit Blue Springs and it was amazing. hiking trails, swimming area as well as manatee watching.
I returned earlier this month for a friends wedding and was excited to bring my boyfriend John to see this beautiful historic hotel. He is quit the history buff and Ross, the owner shared many historical facts

This is a really cool 1920s hotel which the owner has obviously restored to keep alive the vibe of the '20s. it is clean and vintage throughout.. the lobby and reception desk were really cool. We had booked a… room but due to a last minute change in our plans, we could not stay. I was very nervous about informing the hotel about this, but we spoke to the owner who could not have been nicer and more understanding. He granted us a full refund when he didn't have to. we'll book and stay next time we are in town but I wanted to recommend this cool unique place. even though we didn't stay, I

What a find! A beautiful warm inviting boutique hotel. The rooms are clean and bright with space to sit. The most appealing aspect is the amiable staff, who are attentive and knowledgeable of the history of the Hotel as well as the area. They accommodated my family to put us in joint rooms which was just enough for our personal privacy, yet we were close enough to leave the connecting door open so we could talk to each other. This happened on the day we arrived where I had booked two separate rooms, they offered this switch, and at a lower price.

The Deland Hotel exudes charm the minute you walk through the front door. It's one of the most historic buildings in Deland, and I selected this hotel over a non-descript Motel 6. I was originally booked into room 101 which has a bathroom directly in the middle of the room. With two people in a room this is awkward, to say the least. The staff was kind enough to upgrade us without hesitation or additional cost to another room that had a private, but separate, bathroom. The bed was very comfortable, and with the exception of the TV remote control not working properly, our stay was fantastic

I stayed at The Deland Hotel for one night and I wish it could have been longer! The bed was so comfortable and the owner went out of his way to make sure all our needs were met. It's close to the restaurants in downtown or you can eat at the sushi restaurant on site, which was delicious! The decor was a perfect fit to the vibe of the 1920's building and everything was nice and clean. I highly recommend staying here when in town!

I was in the region on business and had a stressful week and was hoping to find a place on my last night where I could put it all behind me. Normy hotels were not in order. Did some searching, found a few candidates, but The Deland Hotel spoke to me especially. The other reviews have covered the lovely antique qualities and I agree. I spent a few hours overall in the guest lounge, enjoyed a glass of wine (on the house) and had some nice conversations. It all felt very warm (I don't mean the temperature).

Extra bonus- I had been eating at various sushi places (not in DeLand) most of the week

This beautiful vintage hotel was recommended to my husband and me by 3 different people. Now we know why. The customer service was by far better than any other hotel we have every stayed in. The rooms were furnished with very nice, authentic 1920s pieces. The linens and bathroom were impeccably clean and fresh, which is always a must for us. And to top this all off, the owners offer complimentary happy hour in the parlor!!! We look forward to our next trip to the Deland Hotel. :-)

Charming boutique hotel with elegance and character that is true to its 1920s origination. Period furniture - vintage vibe and super friendly staff. Owner Ross goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable and taken care of. Top tier customer service. Beds are new and super plush...soaking in the 1920s claw foot tub is a must with the complimentary wine they offer(bonus) ! Great experience. Would never stay any where else in this part of town. Worth every penny! Oh and with the lounge and sushi restaurant - it's an all in one Hotel for sure. Next time - massage:)

A true Gem is what we found here with the DeLand Hotel. Wonderful antique decor, and an uber friendly staff. The room is perfect, quite charming. Walking distance to all that beautiful downtown Deland has to offer. We plan on staggering back from The Elusive Grape wine bar later this evening. On site full service beauty salon and parlor. Soon to have a nice lounge, and upscale Sushi restaurant; Twisted Chopsticks. Consider us fans of this awesome boutique hotel. We have already reserved our return visit as our son attends Stetson University (walking distance also), and we frequent the area for
