Ever notice the price of eating out keeps rising? Even cooking at home isn't cheap, and who has time for the hassle and mess of all those dishes? Well, we have an alternative. For the past 50 years, Country Place has been providing a casual dining experience for individuals and families looking for good food and drinks at very reasonable prices.
In 1972, Joe Werner was living with his parents in North East Philadelphia, while working his way through college as a bartender. As every bartender does, Joe dreamed of owning a bar of his own. He looked into some places for sale near his home town, but quickly discovered they were priced out of reach for a young bartender saddled with the expense of college tuition.
Served with your choice of hot buffalo, Jack Daniel's BBQ, traditional BBQ, garlic buffalo or honey buffalo. A heaping casserole of fries topped with crumbled bacon and melted mozzarella and cheddar cheeses. Tortilla chips, seasoned beef, lettuce, tomato, onion and melted mixed cheeses with salsa and sour cream.

Hidden gem!!! I live close by and have never heard of this place but I’m so glad I got to go. The prices are so cheap but the food is surprisingly delicious. Usually cheaper means lower quality but this place has great food. Delicious drinks, the green tea shots were made perfect, and the mozzarella sticks are so good. Our waitress was kind and attentive. I will definitely return!!

Service was very good and so was the food. I got the Mac and cheese and it was some of the best I've had. Also really enjoyed the Thai wings and potato skins. The bread pudding was to die for. Meatloaf and mashed potatoes were just ok, but overall I can't complain. Great value, will be back for sure.

I use to love their food. They had a great ham
And cheese sandwich which had so much lean meat in it. I ordered one to go about one month ago. And when I got it home it was all fat and nasty meat. I had to throw it away. They also gave me steamed clams that were going bad. I told them to throw them away. I don’t know if it has new owners or not but it was horrible. I’m done eating there.

Great diner spot. They have decent portions at a great price. Only cash though. For an appetizer I tried the fried cauliflower. it came with a cocktail sauce. It was ok. I would go for a different appetizer if I was eating here again. I got the veal parm with a side salad and some cole slaw. The veal parm was pretty good. Nice size of meat. The sauce could've used a little more flavor. I tried the ribs here too and they are good. You can get traditional or jack Daniels barbecue sauce. Got the jack Daniels. Ribs were super tender and fell off the bone. Overall a great spot and if I find myself in

Really good food, better than you would expect at prices you wouldn't believe. We also had breakfast earlier in the day, which was fantastic and at a price you can treat your family and the neighbors without breaking the bank!
Staff is caring about everything, attentive to your dining needs. You won't regret visiting them, and will most likely come back again sooner than you would think!
