At our core, Wright-Pierce is an award-winning, multi-discipline engineering firm. Our team is a group of more than 275 professionals, located in offices throughout the Northeast and Florida, committed to our clients' success. Since 1947, we have delivered reliable solutions to our clients' water resource and infrastructure challenges.
It all started with a coin toss to determine the name of the firm-Frank Wright won the flip over Bill Pierce, and the rest was history. Frank and Bill met as Civil Engineers working for Bath Iron Works. Raising $50 in capital between them, they formed the partnership to practice civil engineering, primarily highway design, and surveying in Maine.
Access to safe drinking water is essential for life, public health, and overall community prosperity. Wright-Pierce provides comprehensive planning, design, construction administration, operational assistance, and asset management services to solve drinking water challenges. Effective management of wastewater is critical to maintain public health and protect our natural resources.

Wright-Pierce has won numerous regional and national awards for excellence in engineering on select projects as well as company awards based on our performance and solid business management practices. Many of our projects receive regional ACEC Engineering Excellence Awards. Most recently, our Exeter, NH wastewater project was the recipient of a 2021 Gold Engineering Excellence Award from ACEC-NH.
